ICMR-National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) is recruiting eligible candidates for 06 posts of Project Staff Nurse, Project Technical Assistant (Staff Nurse), Project Technical Officer (Social Worker), Project Computer Programmer Grade- A, Upper Division Clerk (UDC) and Project Data Entry Operator (Grade A). The vacancies are for various Projects on Contract basis for a period of 06 months/ 11 months/ 12 months. The appointment may be renewed after every specific period of time subject to satisfactory performance and project requirement. ICMR-NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF EPIDEMIOLOGY (NIE) WILL CONDUCT WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR 06 POSTS OF PROJECT STAFF NURSE, PROJECT TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (STAFF NURSE), PROJECT TECHNICAL OFFICER (SOCIAL WORKER), PROJECT COMPUTER PROGRAMMER GRADE- A, UPPER DIVISION CLERK (UDC) AND PROJECT DATA ENTRY OPERATOR (GRADE A). 1. PROJECT STAFF NURSE
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (NIE, Chennai)
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery (GNM) or equivalent and registered with any state Nursing Council.
Desirable: i) B.Sc., in Nursing.
ii) Experience in data collection in field based health research surveys.
iii) Experience in clinical examination.
iv) Experience in collection of nasal and oro-pharyngeal swabs.
v) Proficiency in speaking/ reading/ writing in Tamil.
Age Limit: Maximum 33 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 31,500/- per month.

 

2. PROJECT TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (STAFF NURSE)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (Institute of Child Health (ICH) Egmore, Chennai)
Educational Qualification: Graduate Degree in Nursing from a recognized University with 03 years relevant experience from a recognized Institution.
OR
Post Graduate degree in Nursing.
Desirable: i) Graduate in Nursing with a Post Graduate Degree in Child Care Nursing or Public Health or Epidemiology.
ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
iii) Experience in Clinical data collection.
iv) Experience of working in Public Health/ Medical Research Projects.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.31000/- per month.

 

3. PROJECT TECHNICAL OFFICER (SOCIAL WORKER)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (NIE, Chennai)
Educational Qualification: Graduate in Social Sciences/ Social Work from a recognized University with 05 years working experience from a recognized Institution.
OR
Masters degree in Social Sciences/ Social Work.
Desirable: i) MSW from a recognized University/ Institute.
ii) Experience in conducting interviews in field based health research projects.
iii) Experience in conducting verbal autopsy.
iv) Experience of working as part of a research project team.
v) Proficient to write, speak and read in Tamil.
vi) Experience should be supported by experience certificates/ testimonials/ publications etc. from public sector/ private medical research institutes/ universities.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 32000/- per month.

 

4. PROJECT COMPUTER PROGRAMMER GRADE- A
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (NIE, Chennai)
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology from a recognized University.
OR
B.E/ B.Tech in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/ Computer Technology/ Information Technology from a recognized Institution/ University.
Desirable: i) Experience with large scale surveys.
ii) Appropriate skills for building and maintaining relational database.
iii) Able to carry out and validate double data entry procedures.
iv) Analytical skills to provide summary statistics and identify systematic entry errors.
v) Good documentation skills.
vi) Experience in developing ODK forms.
vii) Experience in handling statistical applications like SPSS/ Excel.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 32000/- per month.

 

5. UPPER DIVISION CLERK (UDC)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (ICMR-NIE, Chennai)

6. PROJECT DATA ENTRY OPERATOR (GRADE A)
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (NIE, Chennai)
Educational Qualification: Intermediate or 12th Pass from recognized Board.
Desirable: Typing certificate in English Lower/ Higher issued by State Government.
Age Limit: Maximum 25 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 17000/- per month.

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
