2014: In 2014, a total of 2,99,057 students appeared for the exam. 84.42% of them passed. Girls had a higher pass percentage compared to boys.
2015: The number of students increased in 2015, with 3,39,818 appearing for the exam. However, the overall pass percentage decreased compared to the previous year, along with the pass percentages for both girls and boys.
2016: In 2016, 3,18,453 students took the exam, and the overall pass percentage increased. Still, the pass percentage for boys remained lower than that of girls.
2017: The passing percentage dropped significantly in 2017 to 62.36%. Boys had a much lower pass percentage compared to girls during this year.
2018: There was a slight improvement in 2018, with 65.97% of students passing the exam. However, boys’ pass percentage remained lower than girls’.
2019: In 2019, the overall pass percentage increased notably to 86.41%, with girls maintaining a higher pass percentage than boys.
2020: The pass percentage saw a significant increase in 2020, with 92.77% of students passing the exam. Girls continued to outperform boys in terms of pass percentage.
2021: The pass percentage further increased in 2021, reaching 96.48%. Girls consistently had a higher pass percentage compared to boys across these years.
