1. DISTRICT INSPECTOR/ ADDITIONAL DISTRICT INSPECTOR OF SCHOOLS- IN THE WEST BENGAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICE UNDER THE SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF WEST BENGAL.
No. of Vacancies: 08 Nos. (UR-03, SC-02, OBC-02, PWD-01)
Educational Qualification:
(i) Second class Master’s Degree of a recognized university or equivalent qualifications.
(ii) Degree in teaching of a recognized university or equivalent qualifications.
(iii) Three years’ experience of inspection work or in teaching in a school.
(iv) Ability to undertake touring.
(v) Familiarity with modern outlook and method of school inspection.
(vi) Capacity for planning and organization.
(vii) Good power of expression in Bengali – spoken and written.
Age Limit: Maximum 36 years as on 01.01.2018.

2. JUNIOR SCIENTIST – IN THE WBGS UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY, GOVT. OF WEST BENGAL.
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01)
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with 55% marks from a recognized University, or its equivalent.
OR
Master Degree in Agriculture or Geology or Geography or Soil science with 55% marks or a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System with 55% marks from a recognized University, or its equivalent.
Experience: Experience in Computer Software or Remote Sensing or Geographical Information System for two years in any Govt. Department or Statutory Body or Govt. Undertaking or in academic Institution or in Industry.
Desirable: A Doctorate degree in Science or Applied Science or M.E. or M.Tech Degree.
Age Limit: Maximum 36 years as on 01.01.2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15, 600 – Rs.42, 000 and Grade Pay Rs. 5, 400/-
3. SENIOR CARTOGRAPHER

Educational Qualification: Master Degree in Geography / Geology / Geo-Physics with 55% marks from a recognized University, or its equivalent.
Experience: Experience as Cartographer for two years in any Govt. Department or Statutory Body or Govt. Undertaking or any private organization of repute.
Desirable: A Doctorate degree.
Age Limit: Maximum 36 years as on 01.01.2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15, 600 – Rs.42, 000 and Grade Pay Rs. 5, 400/-
Note: Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not applicable to the candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali).
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates belonging to the reserved category of state other than West Bengal, will be treated as General Candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Screening Test/ Written Test and Interview.
