Punjab Police: Online applications (available at https://iur.ls/punjabpolicerecruitment2023) are invited Indian citizens for direct recruitment to fill vacancies of constables (except for the vacancies against the sports quota, which shall be filled separately) in the District Police cadre of Punjab Police. The recruitment for filling up the vacancies in the District Police cadre as mentioned above shall be carried out through an Application Form (AF) and Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Screening Test (PST) with specified qualifying parameters. The selection of candidates shall be on the basis of their respective merit (based strictly on the basis of marks obtained in the Paper I) and normalization, against available category-wise vacancies. PUNJAB POLICE RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF
POLICE CONSTABLE IN DISTRICT POLICE CADRE OF PUNJAB POLICE – 2023
Constable (District Police cadre) – 1746
Educational Qualification:
- 10+2 or it’s equivalent from a recognized Education Board/University.
- In the case of Ex-Servicemen, the minimum educational qualification shall be Matriculation.
Pay Scale:
- As per the Punjab Government Notification No. FD-FP-10MISC/87/2020-2FP1 dated 29.12.2020 pay scale of the post-Constable is Rs.19,900/- and minimum pay admissible of Rs. 19,900/- per month for three years from the date of joining in service.
Age:
- Eligibility criteria regarding age shall be as follows: Minimum age as of January 1st, 2023 – 18 years.
- Maximum age as of January 1st, 2023 – 28 years.

- Ex-Servicemen(ESM) of Punjab State only/Lineal Descendants of ESM – 500/-.
- SC/ST of all States and Backward Classes of Punjab State only- 600/-

Selection Process:
- The selection process shall be a three-stage process comprising the following stages:
- Stage-I: Stage-I will consist of two Computer Based, Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type Papers viz. Paper-I and Paper-II, of which Paper-II shall be qualifying in nature.
- Stage II: Stage II will consist of Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and a Physical Screening Test (PST). Both the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test shall be qualifying in nature.
- Stage-III: Stage-III will consist of Document Scrutiny.

- There shall be an Application Form for recruitment to the post of constable in the District Police cadre of Punjab police.
