Male Constables: Total 6252 posts
i. District Police Cadre: 3751 posts
ii. Armed Police Cadre: 2501 posts

Educational Qualification (for both Cadre): 10+2 or its equivalent
Candidate must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.
Physical standard:
Height: (i) Male candidates — 5.7 Cms; (ii) Female candidates — 5.3 Cms.
Age Limit (For all above posts/discipline): Minimum-18 years and maximum- 28 years as on 01.01.2016. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Pay Scales (For all above posts/discipline): Rs.10300/- to Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay – Rs.3200/- per month.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Measurement Test, Physical Screening Test Educational Qualification and Interview

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.400/- (Rs.100/- SC/ST/BC candidates) as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan.
