The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) is going to conduct “Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination—2012 (PSCSCCE-2012)” for recruitment of 160 Nos. Officers in the Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch), Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tehsildar, Excise & Taxation Officers, Food Supply & Consumer Affairs Officers, Block Development & Panchayat Officers, Assistant Registrar Co-operative Societies and Employment Generation and Training Officer. Eligible candidates may apply Online. Qualification norms and criteria in brief is given below —

1. Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch) : 30 Nos.
2. Deputy Superintendent of Police : 20 Nos.
3. Excise & Taxation Officer : 30 Nos.
4. Tehsildar : 09 Nos.
5. Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Officer : 25 Nos.
6. Block Development & Panchayat Officer : 28 Nos.
7. Assistant Register Co-Operative Societies : 11 Nos.
8. Employment Generation and Training Officer : 07 Nos.
Qualification Required: Bachelor Degree in any discipline. Candidates must have studied Punjabi as a Subject or have studied in Punjabi School at Matriculation level.
Age Limits: between 21yrs to 37yrs as on 1/01/2012. Upper age relaxation is as per norms.

Application fee: Candidates willing to appear for Preliminary Examination should have pay Rs.1500/- (Rs. 375/- for SC/ST candidates of Punjab and Other States; And Rs.375/- for Backward Classes of Punjab Only). No Application fee for Ex-Serviceman.
The Application fee is to be paid in form of Demand Draft issued by SBI or State Bank of Patiala drawn in favour of – the Secretary, Punjab Public Service Commission, and payable at – Patiala. Write your name, registration number and address in Block letters on the reverse of the Draft.
Candidates should first apply Online and then must print-out the system generated Application Form. The print-out form should be enclosed with the original Demand Draft of above prescribed amount and then sent it by post at the below address.
