Parliament of India, the Recruitment Cell of Rajya Sabha Secretariat is recruiting 55 persons for the post of “Junior Parliamentary Reporter (English)”, “Executive/Legislative/Committee/Protocol Assistant”, “Security Assistant Grade-II”, “Junior Clerk”, “Junior Proof Reader” and “Staff Car driver (Ordinary grade)”. Advt. No.1/2011. Details below—

Junior Parliamentary Reporter (English): 8 Nos. (Gen-4, OBC-2, SC-1,ST-1)
Post No.4, Category No.IV
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline with ability to inscribe 160 words per minute in English Shorthand may apply. Candidates with computer knowledge is desirable.
Age: 18yrs-30yrs.
Pay: Rs.15600 to 39100. Grade Pay: Rs.5400

Executive/Legislative/Committee/Protocol Assistant: 8 Nos. (Gen-5, OBC-2, SC-1)
Post No.5, Category No. IV
Qualification: Graduate candidates in any discipline may apply. Computer knowledge is desirable.
Age: 18yrs-27yrs
Pay: Rs.9300 – Rs.34800 and Grade pay: Rs.4600

Security Assistant Grade-II: 6 Nos. (OBC-4, SC-1, ST-1)
Post No.6, Category No. IV
Qualification: Candidates with Degree in any discipline may apply. Candidates should have NCC’s ‘C’ Certificate or may have represent the Country or State in either National or International level.
Computer knowledge taken from recognised Institute is desirable.
Physical Height and Weight: Height- 167.5 cm, Chest: 76.5 to 81 cm. Eye-sight: 6/12 without glass with both eyes. In case of female candidates height should be 154.6cm
Age: 18yrs- 27yrs
Pay: Rs.9300 to Rs.34800

Junior Clerk (English): 18 Nos. (Gen-9, OBC-7, ST-2)
Post No.7, Category No. IV
Qualification: Degree in any discipline as well as ability to Type (in English) 40 words per minute. Preference will be given to those who know to type both in Hindi and English at same rate of speed.
Computer knowledge is desirable.
Age: 18-27 yrs.
Pay: Rs.5200- Rs.20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2400

Junior Proof Reader: 12 Nos. (Gen-8, OBC-3, SC-1)
Post No.10, Category No. V
Qualification: Degree course in any discipline. Candidates should have done diploma in Printing Technology or Post-Graduate Diploma course in Book publishing. Should have minimum experience of 5 yrs as a Copy Holder in English and Hindi Printing Press.
Computer knowledge is desirable
Age: 18yr to 32yrs
Pay scale: Rs.5200 to Rs.20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2800

Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade): 3 Nos. (Gen-1, OBC-1, SC-1)
Post No.11, Category No. VI
Qualification: Madhyamik pass candidates with valid driving license of Light and Heavy Motor Vehicle as well good knowledge and experience is driving may apply for the post.
Age: 18yrs to 27yrs
Pay: Rs.5200- Rs.20200

For all the above mentioned posts the age should be counted as on dated- 20-12-2011. Age relaxation: OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs.
Job will be on Probation for first 2 years.

Candidates will be selected through Written Test and questions will of Objective Types. If selected in Written Test then will be called for Interview.

How to Apply: Prepare the Application form on plain A4 size paper as per given format.
Candidates should deposit the Exam fee of Rs.130 in any branch of State Bank of India at the following a/c no. 31096407809, DDO, Rajya Sabha. Deposit the fee through Challan.
Along with application form candidates should send one self-address Post Card and Original copy of Fee Challan. There is no need to send any other documents with the application form.

Last Date: Application form should reach within 20 Dec-2011 either through Registry Post or Speed Post at the following address—“The Recruitment Cell, Rajya Sabha Secretariat, Room No.629, Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi-110 001”.
