Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Human Resource Management Department, is recruiting meritorious Sportsperson for the post of “Assistant/ Office Attendant”. Number of Vacancies: 53 Nos.
Eligibility of Meritorious Sportsperson:
Candidates shall have presented their University in Inter University Tournaments conducted by Inter university Board OR a State Schools Team in the National Sports / Games for Schools conducted by the All India Schools Game Federation.

Performance of candidates in the previous two years will be given due importance. At the time of appointment the candidate must be an active sportsperson and should be fit enough to take part in future tournaments as well.
Educational Qualification:
For the post of “Assistant”: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
For the post of “Office Attendant”: At least Class 10 pass.
Pay Scale:
For the post of Assistant: Starting basic pay will be Rs.8860/-
For the post of Office Attendant: Starting basic pay will be Rs.6350/-
Candidates awaiting result may also apply, however such candidates will require to produce the pass certificate during Interview, i.e. on or before 31/08/2014.
Candidates’ Selection: Candidates possessing requisite qualifications will be called for selection trials. Candidates who qualify in selection trials for the discipline applied for will be called for interview at respective centres.
Application Fee: Rs.100/‐. No fee is payable by SC/ST candidates.
Application Fee shall be paid in the form of Account Payee Demand Draft(DD) drawn in favour of “Reserve Bank of India” and payable at respective centre where the application is submitted (See PDF below for list of addresses).
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may prepare the Application form on plain A4 size paper mentioning their brief bio-data with regard to the following — (i) Name in full (in block letters) (ii) Full residential address (iii) Date of birth (iv) Place of birth (v) Educational qualifications (vi) Name of School/College last attended (vii)Technical qualifications, if any (viii) Employment Exchange Registration Number (if any) (ix) Whether belongs to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/other backward class (attach xerox copies of certificates) (x) Proficiency in sports – (a) Name of sport (b) Specialization (c) Participation in sports events (indicating particulars of sports events and nature of representation therein) (xi) Particulars of past and present employment (xii) Signature of applicant & date.
Latest passport size photograph should be affixed on right‐hand top corner of application.
Applications should accompany Xerox copies of relevant certificates with regards to qualifications acquired. Copies of certificates relating to efficiency/merit in games/sports from authorities like District/State Sports associations may be enclosed.
Applications should be accompanied by the requisite fees in the form of Account Payee Demand Draft (DD).
Last Date and Address: The duly filled Application form along with enclosures should be forwarded by ordinary post, so as to reach on or before 21/07/2014, to the Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Recruitment Section, at respective centre where the application is submitted (SEE THE PDF FILE BELOW FOR LIST OF ADDRESSES)
The top of the application containing envelope shall be superscribed with – ““For recruitment of Sportspersons”.
Applications may also be deposited in a special box kept at the Bank’s Building at the above address from 10.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. on weekdays except on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
