SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 10 POSTS OF SCOUTS & GUIDES IN GR.C AND ERSTWHILE GR.D GRADES. LAST DATE — 05/08/2019
1. SCOUTS & GUIDES IN GP RS.1900/-
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (HQ)
Educational Qualification: 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate (50% marks in the aggregate will be required for NTPC categories. 50% marks are not required for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen candidates and candidates possessing higher qualification like Graduation/ Post Graduation).
OR A pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board and having ITI Certificate for the posts of Artisans in Technical Categories.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/01/2020.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs.1900/-
2. SCOUTS & GUIDES IN GP RS.1800/-
No. of Vacancies: 08 Nos. (Adra Division- 02 posts, Chakradharpur Division- 02 posts, Kharagpur Division- 02 posts, Ranchi Division- 02 posts)
Educational Qualification:
i) 10th pass from a recognized Board with National Apprenticeship Certificate granted by NCVT or 10th pass from a recognized Board with ITI for appointment in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, S&T and Catering departments.
ii) 10th pass or ITI or equivalent from a recognized Board for appointment in other departments.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 33 years as on 01/01/2020.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade Pay Rs.1800/-
Scouting/ Guiding Qualifications:
The following qualifications will apply for recruitment of Scouts & Guides to posts in Grade Pay Rs.19000/- and Grade Pay Rs.1800/-:
i) A President Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
ii) Should have been an active member of a Scouts/ Guides organization for the last 05 years.
iii) Should have attended at least 02 events at National level OR All Indian Railways’ level and 02 events at State level.
The vacancies are against Scouts & Guides Quota on South Eastern Railway for the year 2019-20.
Only candidates who are active members of Bharat Scouts & Guides are eligible to apply. Candidates who are appearing at and/ or awaiting results of final examination are not eligible to apply.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Marks on Certificates.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/ PWD, Women, Minorities & EBC) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Indian Postal Order (IPO)/ Bank Draft drawn in favour of FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach- 700043, payable at GPO/ Kolkata.
