Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun (Uttarakhand), is recruiting 31 Nos. – Research Asst., Library Info Asst., Jr. Hindi Translator, Tracer, Forester, Forest Guard and Artist Grade-III. 1. Research Assistant Grade-I (General): 10 Nos. (Gen—4; SC—2; ST—1; OBC—3)
Qualification: Master’s degree in Science.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2800/-

2. Library Information Assistant: 1 Nos. (General)
Qualification: Graduate with Bachelor’s degree in Library Science.
Age: 18yrs to 27yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-

3. Jr. Hindi Translator: 1 Nos. (Gen—PH)
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Hindi/English with English/ Hindi as compulsory/ elective subject or as medium of examination at degree level OR Master Degree in any subject but with Hindi/ English medium (Ref. The advt. link below for details)
Age Limit: maximum 30yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-

4. Tracer: 2 Nos. (General)
Qualifications: Class 12 pass and Certificate in Draftsmanship
Age: 18yrs to 27yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1900/-

5. Forester: 3 Nos. (General)
Qualifications: Class 12 pass with following Physical Standards —
For Men: Height—165 cms; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) — 79cms/ 84cms.
For Women: Height  — 150 cms; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) — 74cms/ 79cms.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1900/-

6. Forest Guard: 11 Nos. (Gen—8; SC—2; OBC—1)
Qualifications: Class 10 pass with following physical standards —
For Men: Height—165 cms; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) — 79cms/ 84cms.
For Women: Height  — 150 cms; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) — 74cms/ 79cms.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 27yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1800/-

7. Artist Grade-III: 3 Nos. (General)
Qualifications: Class 12 pass and Certificate of Fine Arts from recognised Institute.
Age Limit: Maximum 30yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1900

Upper age relaxation: Age will be counted as on 21.06.2013. Upper age relaxation for reserved categories is as per Govt. norms.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test/ Interview. Date and venue will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course.

The application must be enclosed with Self-Attested copies of copies of Educational qualification certificate/ mark sheets, Caste certificate, Age proof documents, Demand draft of prescribe fee, 3 Nos. passport size photographs (one copy should be pasted on the application form) and any other supporting documents in support of eligibility.

Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay Application Fee of Rs.200/– drawn in favour of the ‘Accounts Officer, Forest Research Institute’ payable at Dehradun.

Candidates applying for more than post must prepare separate DD and application form.
SC/ST/PH and all women candidates are not required to pay any Application Fee.
