West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Recruitment-2010

West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is recruiting 166 Male/Female candidates in Group ‘D’, Guard, Driver, Caretaker, Law Assistant, Librarian and many more. Madhyamik Pass (Matriculation) and Class-8th pass candidates can apply for the post as per details given below.

1. Name of Post: Assistant Grade (Post code-01)
No. of Vacancies:  60 Nos.
Qualification: Madhyamik Pass (Matriculation), work experience in clerical is desirable
Pay Scale: Rs.7200-25400 per month + Grade pay: 3300

2. Name of Post:  Group D (Post code-02)

No. of Vacancies:  55 Nos.
Qualification: Class- 8 pass candidates can apply
Pay Scale: Rs. 5400-18600 per month, Grade Pay: Rs. 1800

3. Name of Post: Guard (Post Code: 03)
No. of Vacancies:  23 Nos.
Qualification: Class-8 Pass candidates can apply
Pay Scale: Rs. 5400-18600 Per month, Grade Pay: Rs.1800

4. Name of Post: Computer Assistant (Post Code: 04)
No. of Vacancies:  14 Nos.
Qualification: Madhyamik Pass (Matriculation), should have done computer or basic computer application from govt. registered institute.
Pay Scale: Rs. 7200-25400 Per month, Grade Pay: Rs.3300

5. Name of Post: System Manager (Post Code: 05)
No. of Vacancies:  6 Nos.
Qualification: B.C.A from recognized Institute and should have good knowledge in Computer application like- Oracle, SQL, ASP, D 2K and Etc.
Pay Scale: Rs. 7200-25400 Per month, Grade Pay: Rs.4100

6. Name of Post: Driver (Post Code: 06)
No. of Vacancies:  2 Nos.
Qualification: Class-8 Pass candidates with valid Driving License for Light and Heavy Vehicles and should have good physical status.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5400-18600 Per month, Grade Pay: Rs.2900

7. Name of Post:  Law Assistant (Post Code: 07)
No. of Vacancies: 2 Nos.
Qualification: Graduates from Law, Experience of 3yrs as a practitioner is desirable
Pay Scale: Rs. 7200-25400 Per month, Grade Pay: Rs.4100

8. Name of Post:  Care Taker (Post Code: 08)
No. of Vacancies:  1 Nos. for SC candidate
Qualification: Passed Diploma in Civil Engineering
Pay Scale: Rs. 7200-25400 Per month, Grade Pay: Rs.4100

9. Name of Post: Librarian (Post Code: 09)
No. of Vacancies:  1 Nos. for SC candidate only
Qualification: Graduate in any stream with Degree or Diploma in Librarian Science, should have knowledge in software operating for library operation, management and networking.
Pay Scale: Rs. 7200-25400 Per month, Grade Pay: Rs.4100

10. Name of Post: Proof Reader (Post Code: 10)
No. of Vacancies:  1 Nos. for SC candidate
Qualification: Madhyamik Pass (Matriculation), should have knowledge to show proofing on English and Bengali Manuscript. Knowledge in Hindi is desirable
Pay Scale: Rs. 7200-25400 Per month, Grade Pay: Rs.4100

11. Name of Post: Sweeper (Post Code: 11)
No. of Vacancies:  1 Nos. for SC candidates
Qualification: No stretch on qualification, should have good physical status and have work experience in the field
Pay Scale: Rs. 5400-18600 Per month, Grade Pay: Rs.1800

N.B: Ability to speak, read and write in Bengalis is essential in all above mentioned posts except Sweeper. This is not applicable incase of Nepali speaking candidates of hill areas from district of Darjeeling.
As per reservation norms of govt. of West Bengal; vacant has been kept for Gen, OBC, SC/ST and Etc. candidates from Post code No- 01 to 07.

Age Limit for all above mentioned posts: 18yrs-37yrs as on 1.1.2010 (Relaxable age for OBC: 3yrs; SC/ST: 5yrs; PH: 8yrs; Ex-serviceman: as per rule)

Selection Procedure: For selection of candidates, Screening Test will be held and if selected will be called for Interview.

How to Apply: Application can be neatly typed on a plain paper as per given format. Fill-up should be done in own handwriting.
Along with Application, candidates should enclose the following documents:

• Attested copies of Madhyamik Pass (Matriculation) Certificate
• Attested copy of Admit card of Matriculation for Age proof
• Attested copies of Experience/ Educational Certificates and Mark sheet
• Attested copy of Computer certificates according to requirement of Post
• Attested copies of Caste certificate in case SC/ST and OBC
• Attested copies of PH certificated in case of PH Candidate
• Self-addressed envelope with affix postal stamp of Rs.5
• Recent passport size 3 nos. photograph with full self-signature on it, affix one copy in application and enclose two copies along with documents
• Bank- Draft of Rs. 160 (If SC/ST & PH:- Rs.80) has to be made if candidates applying for the following Post Codes No- 01, 04, 05, 07, 09 and 10
• Bank- Draft of Rs.110 (If SC/ST & PH:- Rs.55) has to be made if candidates applying for the following Post Codes No- 02, 03, 06 and 11

How to make Bank Draft: Candidates should make the Draft in favour of: RBI Kolkata A/C. West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Fund. Bank Draft must be purchased from any Nationalized Bank

Candidates applying for more than one post should submit application and Bank Draft Separately.
On the top of the envelope, super scribe: (i) Advertisement No. 1/2010, (ii) Post Code and (iii) Name of the post applied for.
