Office of the District Magistrate & Controller and District Programme Coordinator, North 24 Paraganas, Barasat, is recruiting for the following posts under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) establishment of North 24 Paraganas district on temporary basis. Interested candidates may apply Online or Offline within the scheduled date. Eligibility norms and criteria in brief is given below—

1. Programme Assistant
Qualification: Higher Secondary with 60%  marks in science stream with Physics and Maths.  And six months of computer certificate course.
Consolidated pay: Rs.9000/-

2. Block Social Audit Co-Ordinator
Qualification: Hons Graduate with 55% marks in any discipline and 6 months of computer course.
Consolidated pay: Rs.14000/-

3. Junior Programme Officer
Qualification and Pay: Same as above post.

4. Technical Assistant
Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Consolidated pay: Rs.14000/-

5. Computer Assistant
Qualification: Higher Secondary in any stream and 6 months of Computer course.
Consolidated pay: Rs.9000/-

Age Limits: Candidates must be between 18yrs to 37yrs as on 01/01/2012.

Selection Steps: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview. There will be Computer Test for the posts where computer knowledge is asked.
Written Test will be of Class-X standards of 50 marks on – General Awareness, English, Bengali and Arithmetic.
Interview will be of 25 marks. Qualified candidates from interview will sit for Computer proficiency test, as applicable for the post.
Date of examination, Admit Card and list of eligible candidates will be available on the official website (mentioned below). No Admit card will be send by post to the candidates. Candidates should regularly visit the website for new notification in due course.

The top of the application form containing envelope should be superscribed—“Application for the post of ______”.
No documents are to be attached with the offline application form. The verification of documents will be done at the time of the Interview.
