Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering from recognized University/ Institution.
ASSISTANT COMMANDANT (ELECTRICAL)
Number of Vacancies: 1 Nos. (OBC—1)
Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering from recognized University/ Institution.
Age Limit: Candidates must be below 35yrs as on the Last Date of Application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
For Male candidates: Height—165cms; Chest (expanded/ unexpanded)—81cms/ 86cms, Weight—50Kgs.
For Female candidates: Height—157cms; Chest— Not applicable; Weight—Minimum 46 Kgs.
N.B: PST is not applicable for Ex-Servicemen.
Vision: 6/6 and 6/9 with both eyes in distant vision without correction, i.e. without glasses.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties
Candidates’ Selection:
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination which will be in two papers. First paper will be objective types and Second paper will be Subjective and Conventional type. For syllabus, see the below given link.
Qualified candidates will be then called for verification of Documentation, Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test. Finally candidates will go for Interview and Medical Examination.
Physical Efficiency Test will be as follows —
Male candidates: (i) One mile run in 8 minutes, (ii) Broad jump of 4 Ft 6inches, (iii) Ditch jump of 6ft, and (iv) 7ft Jump and reach
Female candidates: (i) One mile run in 12 minutes, (ii) Broad jump of 3 Ft, (iii) Ditch jump of 4ft, and (iv) 6ft Jump and reach
N.B: PET is not applicable for Ex-Servicemen.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format along with attested copies of testimonials.
Application form shall be sent to any one of the nearest Centre to the candidates (See the below link for list of Addresses)
Duly filled Application form must be enclosed with the following enclosures —
- Application Fee of Rs.100/- in form of Demand Draft/ IPO drawn in favour of the addressee to whom the application is addressed (See the below link for list of addresses). No Application Fee for SC/ST and Female candidates.
- 3 Nos. passport size photographs (One each pasted on Application form and Admit Card and other to be attached)
- Matriculation certificate for proof of Age.
- Educational and Technical education Certificate
- Caste certificate in case of SC/ST/ OBC
- Discharge certificate in case of Ex-Servicemen
- Age relaxation certificate for applicable candidates
- 3 Nos. Self-Addressed envelopes with affixed postal stamp of Rs.39/-
- Any other relevant documents in support of eligibility.
Last Date of Application: The Application form along with enclosures must reach within 30 days from the date of publication of advertisement in the employment news (published on 10.08.2013 on Employment News), i.e. the last date of receipt is 09/09/2013. (Within 45 days, i.e. 24/09/2013, in case of candidates from far flung areas).
