Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is inviting Online application for Group-A Gazetted posts — Technical Officer and Scientific Officer. Advertisement No. 01/2013 (R-IV). Both males and females candidates may apply. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —

1. Technical Officer/ E: 1 Nos.
Qualification: M.Sc. in Horticulture with specialisation in floriculture and landscaping with minimum 60% marks and with minimum 9yrs experience in the field.

2. Scientific Officer/ D: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Ph.D Physics (Doctoral work should be related to extensive usage of X-rays at a high energy synchrotron beam line) with MSc Physics with minimum 60% marks.
Experience in the field is desirable.

3. Scientific Officer/ D: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Ph.D in the area of thin film science and technology with M.Sc in Physics with minimum 60%.
Experience in desirable.

4. Scientific Officer/ D: 1 Nos.
Qualification: Ph.D in the area of Applied optics or photonics or optical Engineering with M.Sc Physics with minimum 60% marks.
Experience is desirable.

5. Technical Offier/ D: 10 Nos.
Break up of vacancies as per Discipline wise –
— Chemical: 10 Nos.
— Electrical: 1 Nos.
— Electronics: 5 Nos.
— Instrumentation: 5 Nos.
— Mechanical: 5 Nos.
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in the relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks with 4 years experience in the area of plant operation and maintenance of chemical/petrochemical plants or thermal power stations or related facilities/plants.

6. Technical Officer/ D: 1 Nos.
Qualification: M.Sc in Botany with minimum 60% marks and with 4 years experience in ecological restoration/ landscaping/ornamental gardening.

7. Technical Officer/ C: 1 Nos.
Qualification: B.Sc. in Maths/Physics/Chemistry with minimum 60% marks and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with minimum 60% marks from a recognised University with 5 years working experience in a reputed Scientific Publishing House or an R&D Institution.

8. Technical Officer/ C: 1 Nos.
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Information Technology from a recognised University with minimum  60% marks with programming skills and knowledge in areas like – MySQL, PHP, JSP, CSS, AJAX, XML, Web 2.0 and Etc. (Refer the advt. for details)

Pay Scale and Age limites: —
1. Technical Officer / E— Pay Scale: Rs.15600—39100 with Grade Pay: Rs.7600
Age Limit: Maximum 45 yrs as on 10/06/2013
2. Scientific Officer/ Technical Officer/D — Pay Scale: Rs.15600—39100 with Grade Pay: Rs.6600
Age Limit: Maximum 40 yrs as on 10/06/2013
3. Technical Officer/ C — Pay Scale: Rs.15600—39100 with Grade Pay: Rs.5400
Age Limit: Maximum 45 yrs as on 10/06/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; and Others – As per norms.

Candidates will be called for technical interview based on their academic and professional qualifications and experience in the relevant field. Final selection will be based on the performance in the interview.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs.250/- by means of fee payment challan through any branch of State Bank of India. The fee challan can be downloaded from the website of BARC (live url given below).
After making payment in the bank, the portion of Institution copy should be produced along with the application form at the time of interview
SC/ST/PWD and Women candidates are exempted from Application Fee.
