West Bengal’s Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, Kolkata (West Bengal Region) is recruiting 12 Nos. — Librarian Grade—I, Library Assistant and Stenographers. The engagement are in the offices of ESI Corporation. Eligible candidates may apply Online from the official website of ESIC. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below —
1. Librarian Grade-I: 1 Nos. (Unreserved). Horizontally reserved for PH (OH) candidate.
Qualification: Graduate with Degree or Diploma in Library Science (one year course after graduation) of a recognized University or its equivalent. Two years experience in a public college, University or Departmental Library.
Age Limit: Between 21yrs to 28yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-
2. Library Assistant: 6 Nos. (Unreserved—5; OBC—1). Horizontally reserved for PH (OH candidate)— 1 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation and one year certificate course in Library Science.
Age Limit: Between 19yrs to 25yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1900/-
3. Stenographers: 5 Nos. (Unreserved—3; OBC—2). Horizontally reserved for PH(OH) – 1 Nos.
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass (10+2) or equivalent and ability to inscribe 80 words per minute in Stenography in English or Hindi AND working knowledge of Computer such as MS Office and Database.
Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 27yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2400/-
Upper Age Relaxation: The age limits mentioned above along with the posts will be counted as on last date of the application. Age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs and Others- as per norms.
Selection of the candidate will be through Written Test. For the post of Stenographer, selection will be on the basis of Written Test (Objective type), Stenography Test (in English or Hindi at a speed of 80 wpm for 10 minutes) and transcription of the same on computer for one hour AND Computer Skill Test.
For Librarian Gr.I and Library Asst., selection will be on basis of written test followed by Interview.
There will be negative marking for wrong answers. Refer the Advt. link given below for details.

For Library Assistant: Rs.125/- only.
No Application Fee for female candidate, SC/ST/PWD/ Ex-Serviceman and Departmental candidate.
Application Fee has to be deposited in the any of branches of Union Bank of India, A/c No. 43901010036771, through Challan (in triplicate) which can be downloaded from the link provided below.
Further application fee can be also paid through Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque drawn on State Bank of India in favour of The Regional Director, ESI Corporation, Kolkata, payable at Kolkata.

For Stenographers, the candidate should submit system generated hard copy of online application duly signed by the candidate with attested photograph (Attested by Gazetted Officer, pasted on it and Demand Draft/ ESIC’s copy of fee challan (as the case may be).
Do not enclose any other testimonials/ documents with the form. The verification will be done in due course during Computer Skill Test.
