Durgapur Projects Limited, West Bengal, is recruiting “Security Guards”. Eligible Madhyamik pass Boys and Girls may apply for the post. The vacancies are on regular basis. Application is to be made on prescribed application format within below scheduled date. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below.

SECURITY GUARDS.
Number of Vacancies: will be intimated in due course.

Qualification Required: Madhyamik pass or equivalent from recognised board.

Age Limit: Candidates must be within 18 years to 40 years as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs and Others – As per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.4900—9200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1900/- per month.

Physical Measurement of the candidates in minimum : —
For Male (General Candidates): Height — 165cms; Chest (Unexpanded/ expanded) — 78cms/ 83cms; Weight — Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.
For Male (Gorkhas/ Garwalies/ Rajbanshsis/ ST): Height — 160cms; Chest (Unexpanded/ expanded) — 76cms/ 81cms; Weight — Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard
For Female Candidates: Height — 160cms (152 cms for Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbanshis and ST); Weight — Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.

Physical Efficiency Test for the post of Security Guards —
For Male candidates: Long distance run – 800 meters in 02 minutes and 50 Seconds.
For Female Candidates: Long distance run – 400 metres in 02 minutes.

Candidates who qualify the Physical Efficiency Test will be eligible to appear in a Written Examination and Interview. Finally candidates will have to go through Medical Examination.
The date and venue of candidates’ selection will be intimated in due by the Recruitment Agency.

The qualified candidates will have to undergo a Training of 3 months duration in any training centre under Govt. of West Bengal.
Stipend during training period will be given to the candidates which will be Rs.5000/- per month.
After successful completion of training period, candidates will be put on a probation period of one year at the DPL HQ. at Durgapur on regular Scale of pay plus Grade Pay with all admissible benefits.

Candidates must enclose the attested copies (attestation by Gazetted Officer only) of testimonials in support of Qualification (Mark sheet and Certificate), Age proof, Caste Certificate,  etc and Demand Draft of below prescribed fee.
Candidates must also enclose a Recommendation of any Referees.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs.150/- in form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Durgapur Projects Ltd, Payable at Durgapur.
SC/ST candidates do not require to prepare demand draft.
