INDIAN ARMY, ARMY RECRUITING OFFICE SHIMLA INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY (SOL GD), SOLDIER TECHNICAL (SOL TECH) AND SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL (SOL CLK/ SKT). LAST DATE — 31/03/2020

 

1. SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY

Educational Qualification: Class 10TH/ Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For Boards following grading system Minimum of D Grade (33-40) in individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade.

Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 21 years

 

2. SOLDIER TECHNICAL

Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.

Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years

 

3. SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL

Educational Qualification: i) 10+2/ Intermediate Exam pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject.
ii) Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in class 12th is mandatory.

Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years

 

Only candidates of Districts Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan and Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply.

Army recruitment Rally for the posts will be held from 16th April to 25th April, 2020 at Prithi Military Station, Averipatti, Rampur Bushar, Shimla (Himachal Pradesh).

Married candidates below 21 years of age are not eligible to apply.

 

Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 163 cm (162 cm for Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cm; Chest (expanded) — 82 cm; Weight — 48 kg
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Medical Test and Written Test Through Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
