The vacancies are under different Projects at CSIR- Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI), Kolkata. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis. I. PROJECT TITLE: “NEXT GENERATION HIGH PERFORMANCE IN SITU GENERATED NANO PARTICLES EMBEDDED SUSTAINABLE ANTIFOULING CERAMICPOLYMER COMPOSITE NF MEMBRANES: PREPARATIONS, MODIFICATIONS AND APPLICATION AIMED AT WATER/ DRINKING WATER TREATMENT”.
1. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (Tenure: upto 25.03.2022 or Co-terminus with the duration of the project, whichever is earlier)
Educational Qualification: i) B.E./ B.Tech in Chemical Engg/ Chemical Technology/ Ceramic Tech/ Material Science and Engg/ Nano Science/Tech/ Polymer Science and Technology or equivalent with valid NET/ GATE.
OR
ME/ M.Tech in Chemical Engg/ Chemical Technology/ Ceramic Tech/ Material Science and Engg/ Nano Science/Tech/ Polymer Science and Technology or equivalent with NET/ GATE.
OR
M.Sc. in Chemistry with valid NET/ GATE.
ii) Preference will be given to those candidates having 1st Class Degree with some research experience in the respective field.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 31,000/- per month.
II. PROJECT TITLE: “DEVELOPMENT OF SURFACE MODIFIED ADSORBENTS WITH HIGHER SORPTION CAPACITY FOR SPECIFIC CONTAMINANTS REMOVAL IN WATER/INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER (SMA) (FBR)”.
2. PROJECT ASSISTANT-II
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (Tenure: upto 31.03.2020 or Co-terminus with the duration of the project, whichever is earlier)
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Inorganic/ Physical) with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/ DGPA.
OR
BE/ B.Tech in Chemical/ Ceramic/ Materials Engg/ Polymer Science and Technology/ Nano Science/ Nano Technology or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/ DGPA.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 25,000/- per month.
III. PROJECT TITLE: “DEVELOPMENT OF MULTI-ANALYTE DETECTION METHODS/MITIGATION SYSTEMS FOR FOOD CONTAMINATION”.
3. PROJECT ASSISTANT-II
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (Tenure: Upto 31.03.2020 Or Co-terminus with the duration of the project, whichever is earlier)
Educational Qualification: M.Sc in Chemistry (Physical/ Inorganic/ Applied)/ Physics/ Applied Physics with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/ DGPA.
OR
BE/ B.Tech in Ceramic Engg/ Materials Science/ Applied Electronics & Instrumentation or equivalent with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/ DGPA.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 25,000/- per month.
IV. PROJECT TITLE: “OXIDATION AND HOT CORROSION STUDY ON FUNCTIONALLY GRADED MULTILAYER THERMAL BARRIER COATING FOR GAS TURBINE APPLICATIONS”.
4. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (Tenure: Initially 01 Year, likely to be extended upto 24.01.2022, depending upon satisfactory performance of the candidate. or Co-terminus with the duration of the project, whichever is earlier)
Educational Qualification: i) M.Sc in Chemistry/ Physics with valid NET/ NETLS/ GATE/ National Level Exams conducted by MHRD/ UGC/ IIT/ IISc/ IISER etc.
OR
ME/ M.Tech. in Metallurgical Engg/ Materials Science/ Ceramic Engg or equivalent with valid NET/ NET- LS/ GATE/ National Level Exams conducted by MHRD/ UGC/ IIT/ IISc/ IISER etc.
ii) Preference will be given to those candidates having 1st class degree.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 25,000/- per month.
V. PROJECT TITLE: “DST-IIT DELHI ENERGY STORAGE PLATFORM ON BATTERIES”.
5. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (Tenure: Initially 02 years, Likely to be extended upto 19.08.2024, depending upon satisfactory performance of the candidate or Co-terminus with the duration of the project, whichever is earlier)
Educational Qualification: i) B.E./ B.Tech in Ceramics/ Metallurgy & Materials Engg./ Materials Science or equivalent with valid GATE.
OR
M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry (Inorganic/ Physical) with valid NET/ GATE/ NET-LS.
ii) Preference will be given to those candidates having 1st Class Degree with some research experience in the respective field.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 31,000/- per month.
The vacancies are under different Projects at CSIR- Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI), Kolkata. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis.
Candidates with results awaited will not be eligible to apply.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/PWD/Female and 03 years for OBC category.
