1. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF)
No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) M.Sc. Degree in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Space Physics/ Atmospheric Science/ Meteorology/ Space Science/ Planetary Sciences/ Astronomy/ Astrophysics OR M.Tech in Atmospheric Science/ Space Science/ Planetary Science/ Applied Physics with minimum 60% marks as average of all semesters in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
ii) Candidate should also have qualified one of the following:-
a. CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test, including NET-Lectureship.
b. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by MHRD.
c. Joint Admission Test (JAM) conducted by MHRD.
d. Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST).
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 30.07.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 31,000/- per month.
2. RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (RA)
No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) The candidates should have earned their Ph.D. degree in any discipline of Science or Technology. The Ph.D. thesis should be in the areas of atmospheric, space, and planetary sciences which are relevant to the fields of research being carried out at SPL.
ii) Only those candidates who have carried out their Ph.D. work outside SPL are eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 16.09.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.47000/ Rs.49000/ Rs.51,000/- per month.
The vacancies are in the Space Physics Laboratory (SPL) of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram. The candidates will be appointed initially for a period of One year and is renewable annually for a total period of Two (02) years/ Five (05) years.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.
