Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is inviting application for 504 posts of of “Assistant” in various offices of the Bank. Selection for the post will be through a country-wide competitive Online Examination and Interview. Number of Vacancies: 504 posts. (Gen—279; OBC—99; SC—83; ST—43). Out of total vacancies 17 reserved for PWD and 72 for Ex-Servicemen.

Educational Qualifications (as on 03.07.2015):
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing, for e.g. MS Word on Computer.

 

Age (as on 01.06.2015): Between 18 and 28 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/06/1987 and not later than 01/06/1997 (both days including) are only eligible to apply.

Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Widow/Divorced women/legally separated women – 10yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.8860 as starting basic pay per month in the pay scale of Rs.8040 — 20100 plus other allowances as per norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be through Online Examination and Interview. The Online Examination will be for 200 marks on subject — (i) Test of Reasoning, (ii) Test of English Language, (iii) Test of Numerical Ability, (iv) Test of General Awareness and (v) Test of Computer Knowledge.

Question paper will be set in English and Hindi except the English Language test paper. The examination will be conducted online in venues across many centres in India.

Online Examination will be tentatively hold in the August, 2015.

Final selection will be on the basis of candidate’s performance in the online examination and interview taken together in order of merit.

Application Fee: Rs.450/- for OBC and General Candidates and Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PWD & Ex-Servicemen.
Fee can be paid through bank transaction or can be paid online during submission of online Application form using Debit/ Credit Card or Internet banking. See officially released advertisement for more details.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it and shall retain the same for future references. Do not send any print-out/ documents to RBI at this stage.
