Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is recruiting 23 Junior Engineers (Civil and Electrical). Advertisement No. 1/JE/2013-14. Interested and eligible from all over India may apply for the vacancies through Online application mode available in the bank’s website (see URL below). Educational qualification norms and essential eligibility criteria in brief are given below —

RESERVE BANK OF INDIA (RBI) REQUIRES 23 JR. ENGINEERS (CIVIL/ ELECTRICAL). APPLY ONLINE WITHIN 20/02/2014.

1. JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL)
Number of Vacancies: 9 Nos. (Gen—7; ST—1; SC—00; OBC—1)
Qualification: Minimum three years Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 65% of marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD) OR  Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD).
Experience — At least 2 years experience for Diploma holder or at least 1 year experience for Degree holders in execution and supervision of civil construction work and/ or civil maintenance of office buildings/ commercial buildings/ residential complexes with basic knowledge of RCC design and other civil works, working knowledge of computers, experience in preparation of tenders for civil works, etc.

2. JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL) 
Number of Vacancies: 14 Nos. (Gen—9; SC—1; ST—00; OBC—4)
Qualification: Minimum three years Diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering with minimum 65% of marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD) OR Degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized University with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD).
Experience — At least 2 years experience for Diploma holder or at least 1 year experience for Degree holders in execution and supervision of electrical installations in large buildings/ commercial buildings having HT/ LT substations, central AC plants, lifts, UPS, DG sets, CCTV, Fire alarm system, etc.

Essential (for both posts): Candidate should know how to read/ write and speak one of the Official Languages of the State/ UT in the Zone. Some questions may be put in the local language at the time of interview, to ascertain the level of familiarity of the candidates with the one of the Official Language of the State/ UT in the zone. Candidate should also be able to write and speak English fluently.

Age Limit: Between 20 and 30 years as on 01.02.2014. Candidates born not earlier than 02/02/1984 and not later than 01/02/1994 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply.
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.8040—20100 plus other allowances as per norms. Starting basic pay will be Rs.12370/- per month.

Candidates’ Selection Mode: Selection of the candidates shall be through Online Examination for 200 marks on – (i) English Language, (ii) Engineering Discipline and (iii) General Awareness. Total duration of examination will be 02 hours and will be in Hindi and English. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. Refer the advt. for complete details (See the PDF file below)
The online examination will be held tentatively on 30/03/2014. The examination will be conducted online in venues across many centres in India. Candidates may choose their centre during submission of Online Examination.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of the Reserve Bank of India — www.rbi.org.in  (See the live URL to Application form given below)

During submission of Online application, candidates will require to upload their scan photograph and signature. Candidates shall keep those scan documents ready for uploading.

Application Fee: Rs.600/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PWD and Ex-Servicemen categories.
Candidates shall pay the Application Fee through Online mode by means of Debit/ Credit card/ Net banking. Fee can be also paid through Offline mode, i.e. through Bank Transaction by means of Fee Payment Challan. Fee challan can be downloaded from the bank’s website. Name of the banks through which pay can be deposited are — Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, United Bank of India. 
Fee payment will be accepted at the CBS branches of the banks listed above from 2nd working day after registration and can be made within three working days. System generated fee payment challan will be used for depositing fee.

After completing the procedure of applying on‐line including payment of fees, the candidate should take a printout of the system generated on‐line application form (Registration Slip Number and Password) three days after fee payment.
The print-outs shall be retained safely by the candidates for future correspondence and verification. Do not send any hard copy or print-outs to the Bank. 

Important Dates — 
Starting date of Online Application: 30/01/2014.
Closing date of Online Application form: 20/02/2014.
Payment of Application Fee (Offline mode): From 01/02/2014 to 25/02/2014.
Tentative date of Online Test: 30/03/2014.
