Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) is inviting Online Application from the eligible candidates for various posts in Para Medical Categories, viz. – Staff Nurse, Health & Malaria Inspector, Pharmacist, ECG Technician, Radiographer, Lab Assistant, Dietician, Technician, Optician, Male Field Worker and Etc. Total vacancies – 951 Nos. CENTRALISED EMPLOYMENT NOTICE NO. 04/2014. Eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of respective RRB where applicant wish to apply. Brief details are given below —

 

RAILWAY RECRUITMENT BOARD (RRB) INVITES APPLICATION FOR 951 PARA MEDICAL STAFFS. CEN NO. 04/2014. LAST DATE — 01.12.2014

 

1. Staff Nurse: 438 Nos. (Gen—266; SC—58; ST—60; OBC—54)
Qualification: General Nursing and Midwifery course or B.Sc (Nursing). Candidates should have valid registration with Nursing Council
Age: 20 to 40yrs.

2. Health & Malaria Inspector, Gr.III: 227 Nos. (Gen—124; SC—34; ST—24; OBC—43)
Qualification: B.Sc Chemistry. Candidates should have done one year Diploma in Health/ Sanitary Inspector OR one year NTC in Health/ Sanitary Inspector
Age: 18 to 33yrs.

3. Pharmacist – III: 168 Nos. (Gen—90; SC—28; ST—19; OBC—31)
Qualification: 10+2 in Science or its equivalent with 2 years Diploma in Pharmacy and registration with Pharmacy Council.
Age: 20—35yrs.

4. EGC Technician: 6 Nos (Gen—5; OBC—1)
Qualification: 10+2 and one year certificate course in EGC Technician
Age: 18-33yrs.

5. Radiographer: 25 Nos. (Gen—13; SC—07; ST—03; OBC—02)
Qualification: 10+2 with Physics & Chemistry and Diploma in Radiography/ X Ray Technician/ Radio Diagnosis Technology (2yrs course). Science graduate with Diploma in Radiography/ X Ray Technician/ Radio Diagnosis Technology (2yrs course) shall preferred.
Age: 19—33 yrs.

6. Lab Assistant Gr.II: 26 Nos. (Gen—16; SC—3; OBC—7)
Qualification: Matriculation with Science plus Diploma in Medical lab Technology (DMLT) OR one Certificate course in Medical Lab Technology.
Age: 18—33yrs.

7. Lab Superintendent, Gr.III: 31 Nos. (Gen—18; SC—6; ST—3; OBC—4)
Qualification: B.Sc with Bio-Chemistry / Micro Biology / Life Science / B.Sc with Chemistry and Biology as main or as optional/subsidiary subjects or equivalent plus Diploma in Medical Lab Te c h n o l o g y ( D M LT ) o r equivalent OR B.Sc in Medical Technology (Laboratory) from a recognized institution.
Age: 18—33yrs.

8. Haemo Dialysis Technician: 01 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: B.Sc plus Diploma in Haemodialysis or two years satisfactory in-House Training/Experience in Haemodialysis work in a reputed institution
Age: 20—33yrs.

9. Cardiology Technician: 4 Nos. (Gen—3; OBC—1)
Qualification: 10+2 in Science and certificate course or Diploma in Cardiology Lab Investigations consisting of ECG, Holter & TMT. Candidate trained in Echocardiography is preferable.
Age: 18—33yrs.

10. Audiologist cum Speech Therapist: 1 No. (Gen)
Qualification: B.Sc and Diploma in Audio & Speech Therapy and 02 years experience in the related field.
Age: 18—33yrs.

11. Physiotherapist: 09 Nos. (Gen—5; SC—1; ST—1; OBC—2)
Qualification: 10+2 with Science plus Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy
Age: 18—33yrs.

12. District Extension Educator: 3 Nos. (Gen—2; OBC—1)
Qualification: Post Graduate in Sociology/ Social Work/ Community Education or allied subject with similar course contents or graduation in one of the above discipline with 2 year Diploma in Health Education.
Age: 22—35yrs.

13. Dietician: 3 Nos. (Gen—2; OBC—1)
Qualification: Bsc (Science Graduate) with Post Graduate Diploma in Dietctics (one year course) plus 03 months internship training in a Hospital OR B.Sc Home Science + MSc Home Science (Food & Nutrician) from a recognized Institution.
Age: 18—33yrs.

14. Ophthalmic Technician cum Optician: 1 No. (Gen)
Qualification: B.Sc in Optometry or Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician (the course should be of 3 to 4 years duration). The candidate should have Registration with the concerned Council/Licensing body.
Age: 18-33yrs.

15. Male Field Worker: 1 No. (Gen)
Qualification: 1 0 + 2 i n s c i e n c e w i t h Chemestry and Biology
Age: 18—30yrs

16. Dental Hygienist: 1 No. (Gen)
Qualification: B.Sc. or its equivalent in Biology AND 02 years Diploma/Certificate course in D e n t a l H y g i e n e f r o m. Candidates should have Registration as Dental Hygiene with Indian Dental council and 02 years experience as Dental Hygienist.
Age: 18—35yrs.

17. Optometrist: 2 Nos. (Gen—1; OBC—1)
Qualification: B.Sc. in Optometry or Diploma in Opthalmetic Technician (The course should be of 3 to 4 years duration).
Age: 18—33yrs.

18. Audiometry Technician: 2 Nos. (Gen—1; OBC—1)
Qualification: B.Sc. and Diploma in Audio Therapy and two years experience in the related field.
Age: 18—33yrs

19. X-Ray Technician: 1 No. (Gen)
Qualification: 10+2 with Physics & Chemistry and Diploma in Radiography/ X Ray Technician/ Radio Diognosis Technology (2 years course) from recognized institution. Science graduates with Diploma in Radiography / X Ray Technician/ Radio Diagnosis Technology (2 years course) shall preferred.
Age: 19—33yrs.

20. Cath Lab Technician: 1 No. (Gen)
Qualification: B.Sc and Diploma in Cardiac Professional Cath Lab work or two years house training/ experience in a reputed Cardiac Cath Lab.
Age: 18—33yrs.

 

Educational Qualification Norms: Candidates should have requisite Educational/Technical qualifications (as mentioned above) from recognized Board/University /Institute as on the date of submission of the ONLINE application for this Centralized Employment Notice. Those awaiting results of the final examination need NOT apply. Candidates who have obtained diploma/degree through distance mode except AMIETE are not eligible to apply.

 

Upper age relaxation: Age mentioned above is for General/Unreserved candidates and will be counted as on 01-01-2015. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Widow/Divorced women/legally separated women – 05yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
No age relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/OBC candidates if applied against vacancies reserved for General/ Unreserved categories.

 

Female candidates are also eligible for all the posts. However, it may be noted that some categories involve duties which are arduous in nature and call for working in shifts at odd hours, at road side station and also away from headquarters.
Reservation for Ex-Servicemen and PWD candidates is as per Govt. norms (See the officially released advertisement given below in PDF format)
Candidates may apply for vacancy of their choice in any one RRB only. Written examination for para medical categories will be held on the same day by all Participating RRBs.

 

Candidates’ Selection: The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of written examination and Interview (wherever applicable).
The Question papers shall be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The questions paper will be in English, Hindi, Urdu and local languages of the State/UT where RRB is situated. (See PDF below).
The questions are likely to include subjects pertaining to General awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Science also. The Question paper will have approximately 100 questions. Some of the RRB(s) may offer option for ONLINE examination also.
There shall be negative marking in written examination and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer @ 1/3 of the marks allotted for each question.
Based on the performance of candidates in the written examination and interview (wherever applicable), candidates will be called for documents verification. Finally candidates will go for Medical Examination.

Application Fee: Rs.100/- for Unreserved and OBC Male candidates. Fee can be paid through ONLINE using internet banking or debit/credit cards during submission of online application or can be paid through challan in any branch of SBI or computerized Post Office Pay-In-Slip.
NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ST, PWD, EX-SERVICEMAN, ALL WOMEN CANDIDATES AND MINORITIES.

 

How to Apply: Eligible and Interested candidates can apply for a particular post to any one RRB only through ONLINE application mode by visiting the website of RRB concerned. The list of official websites of RRBs is given below in the PDF file.
Before applying, candidates are advised to go through the officially released advertisement for more details on eligibility criteria and number of vacancies in each RRB.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Acknowledgement Slip with unique Registration Number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out the system generated Acknowledgement slip and should retain it safely for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OF APPLICATION TO ANY RRB AT THIS STAGE.
