RRC ECR Hajipur Sports Quota Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria:
Representation in Recognized Championships:
- Candidates must have participated and demonstrated excellence in sports disciplines mentioned in the recruitment notice.
- Sports achievements should be in events conducted by recognized International/National/State Sports Federations and acknowledged by the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB).
Sports Categories:
- International Championships/Events are categorized into Category-A (Olympic Games, World Cup, World Championship, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games), Category-B (Asian Championships, Asia Cup, Youth Olympics, Davis Cup, Champions Trophy), and Category-C (Commonwealth Championships).
- Domestic championships like All India Inter University Championship and Federation Cup Championships are also considered.
Age Criteria:
- The age conditions are specified for different games and age categories. Candidates must meet the age requirements as applicable for each sport.
RRC ECR Recruitment 2024 Application Fees
The application fees for the sportsperson recruitment are specified as follows:
For all candidates (except those mentioned in sub-para (ii) below):
- Examination Fee: ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only)
- Refund: ₹400/- (Rupees Four Hundred Only) will be refunded to candidates actually appearing in the trial.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST, Women, Minorities, and Economic Backward Classes:
- Examination Fee: ₹250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only)
- Refund: ₹250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only) will be refunded to candidates actually appearing in the trial.
RRC ECR Hajipur Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The selection process for recruitment involves a multi-stage evaluation to identify suitable sportspersons. Candidates are initially assessed based on their performance in trials, which include demonstrating their sporting abilities. The trials encompass various aspects, such as sports achievements, general intelligence, and educational qualifications.
Candidates who are declared FIT in the trial proceed to the next stage, where they undergo document verification. Marks are allocated based on performance during the trial, assessment of sports achievements, and educational qualifications during the interview. The total marks for this evaluation process amount to 100.
To qualify for recruitment through an Open Advertisement, candidates must attain minimum qualifying marks specific to their respective Grade Pay levels. The offer of appointment is granted purely on merit, and in cases where multiple candidates secure the same marks, preference is given to the younger candidate. The entire process is governed by the rules and instructions of the Railway administration, and communication is sent to eligible candidates through Business Post regarding the trial date, venue, and time.
RRC ECR Hajipur Recruitment 2024 Application Process
To apply for the sportsperson recruitment, candidates must neatly type or handwrite their applications in English or Hindi on an A-4 size paper. The application, filled in the candidate’s handwriting, should include one passport-size photograph affixed and signed by the candidate. Additionally, two similar passport-size photographs should be clipped along with the application form.
Self-attested copies of all necessary certificates supporting age, caste (if applicable), educational qualifications, and sports achievements must be enclosed with the application. An Indian Postal Order of the prescribed amount, payable to ‘PFA, East Central Railway’ at Hajipur, should accompany the application. Serving employees must attach a No Objection Certificate from their employer.
