Eligibility Criteria for Steel Authority of India Limited Recruitment 2024

Requirements from ex-SAIL engineers, who will be taken as advisors/consultants are as follows:

(1) Blast Furnace – 1 post

• Supervise operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Like pilot plant for effluent evaluation, viscometer, etc.
• Preparation of technical specifications for new equipment and AMC.
• Evaluation and supervision of offers during job execution.
• Execution and monitoring of plant trials under project/non-project Activities related to BF.
• Association in new research projects.
• Technical Services of Blast Furnace.

(2) Mineral Engineering and Agglomeration – 1 post

• Operation and maintenance including sinter pot, balling drum, tumbler test, and shatter tests.
• Pilot pelletization unit operation.
• RDI/RI/swelling studies, operation of high-temperature reactors, Stove furnace, moisture analyzer, porosity measurement, etc.

(3) Lab Services – 1 post

•  Involved in its preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance of Laboratory equipment.
• Involved in planning and calibration of laboratory equipment of RDCIS.
• Proficiency in equipment like electron microscope, mechanical testing equipment, plastome, pilot coke oven, muffle furnace maintenance, and calibration

Age Limit:- The candidate’s maximum age is 65 years.

Pay Scale for SAIL Recruitment 2024

The Consultation fee/remuneration payable to Advisors/Consultants depending upon grade last served in SAIL will be as under:-

Selection Process for SAIL Recruitment 2024

Selection will be through a “Screening-cum-Selection Committee” constituted by RDCIS. In case of receiving a large number of applications, SAIL RDCIS reserves the right to adopt appropriate/additional short-listing criteria.

Registration and Document Verification: Only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for the interview by the Document Verification Committee.

Interview: Selection of candidates on a contract for appointment on a service basis as Advisor/Consultant will be done through an interview.

All certificates and documents in support of eligibility will be verified during registration and document verification. Only those candidates considered eligible by the Document Verification Committee will be allowed/called to appear for the interview.
