SAIL — Alloy Steels Plant (ASP), Durgapur, is recruiting 15 Nos. “Attendant cum Technician (Trainee)-S1” in discipline of Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Welder, Machinist, Turner, Instrument mech., Mason, Computer Operator/ Prog. ATTENDANT CUM TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE), S-1 
Total Vacancies: 15 Nos. (Gen—7; SC—4; ST—1; OBC—3). Out of them 2 Ex-Serviceman and 2 PWD. 

Discipline wise vacancies — Electrician – 4 Nos.; Fitter/Welder/Machinist/ Turner – 8 Nos.; Instrument Mech. – 1 No.; Mason – 1 No.; Computer Oprtr. Prog. Asst. – 1

Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent with fulltime ITI in any one of the following trades — Fitter, Mason, Welder, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Computer operator programming Asst., Turner

Age Limit: 18—28yrs as on 01/02/2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Physical Standards (Minimum): —
For Male candidates: Height—155cms; Weight—45kgs; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—75/79cms
For Female candidates: Height—143 cms; Weight—35kgs; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—73/ 70cms
Eye Sight (for all): 6/9 without glass and Color vision shall be Normal.

Training & probation: Candidates selected as Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) will be placed on training for a minimum period of 2 (two) years which can be extended by another two years as per requirement. On successful completion of training period, they shall be regularized in S-1grade. After successful completion of Training, Candidates shall be placed under probation for 1 year.

Scale of Pay: During training period of two years, candidates will be paid Rs.8600/- and Rs.10000/- for the first year and second year respectively.
After successful completion of training, candidates will be place on pay scale of Rs.8630—Rs.12080/-

Selection Procedure: Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a Written Test, information for which will be provided in the Admit Card. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be intimated to appear in Interview.
Date and venue of Written test will be intimated in due course.

Application & Processing Fee: General and OBC candidates shall pay Rs.150/ as application and processing fee. SC/ST/PwD candidates shall Rs. 50/- only as processing fee.

Pay in Slip is to be downloaded from website after filling in the required details on the online Application form.

After applying online, the candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details.
After making payment of above said amount, candidate must fill payment details in the website after log in. Only after this application process is complete.
The candidates must print registration slip with payment details which will be submitted by the candidates at the time of interview. Otherwise the application is incomplete and liable for rejection.
