OPERATOR-CUM-TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE)
Number of Vacancies: 18 posts.

Distribution of vacancies as per discipline wise —
1. Civil: 2 posts.
2. Computer: 2 posts.
3. Electrical: 6 posts.
4. Instrumentation: 2 posts.
5. Mechanical: 3 posts.

 

Educational Qualification: Matriculation and 03yrs fulltime Diploma in Engineering in any one of the following discipline — Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil/ Computer /Instrumentation Engineering.

 

Age Limit: Minimum 18 and maximum 28yrs as on 01-01-2015. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (Non- creamy layer) candidates. Upper age is relaxable by 10 years for PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates. Upper age relaxation for Ex-servicemen as per Govt. directives

 

Physical Standards:-
For Male Candidates: Height—155cms; Weight—45kgs; Chest (expanded/unexpanded)—75/79cms
For Female Candidate: Height—143cms; Weight—35kgs; Chest (expanded/unexpanded)—73/70cms
Eyesight: 6/9 without glass, Power of glasses not to exceed (+,-) 02.5 D.
Color vision: Normal and free from color blindness.

 

Consolidated Pay: During training period of two years, candidates will be paid Consolidated Pay of Rs.10700 and Rs.12200 in first year and second year respectively.

Application/ Processing Fee: Rs.250/- for General and OBC candidates. No application fee for SC/ST and PWD candidates. Fee can be paid through any branches of SBI by means of fee payment challan which can be downloaded from the official website of SAIL.
Fee can be also paid online during submission of online Application form by using Debit/ Credit card or Net banking.
