SAIL, BHILAI STEEL PLANT INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 17 POSTS OF SURVEYOR, MINING MATE AND BLASTER. LAST DATE — 12/12/2015.
1. Surveyor: 03 Nos. (UR-02; ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with three years full time Diploma in Mining and Mine’s survey from a Govt. recognised institute with Surveyor’s certificate of competency and post qualification experience of at least one year.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 yrs. & Maximum 28 yrs. as on 12/12/2015
Pay Scale: Rs.16800 – Rs.24110
2. Mining Mate: 11 Nos. (UR-07; ST-04)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with valid Mining Mate’s certificate of Competency from DGMS under MMR (for Metalliferous Mines)/ CMR (for Coal Mines) with at least one year post qualification experience.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 yrs. & Maximum 28 yrs. as on 12/12/2015
Pay Scale: Rs.15830 – Rs.22150
3. Blaster: 03 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with valid Blaster’s Certificate or valid Mining Mate’s Certificate of competency under MMR Act, 1961 from the competent authority (both restricted to Open Cast Mines) and minimum one year post qualification experience including experience of deep hole blasting in open cast mines.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 yrs. & Maximum 28 yrs. as on 12/12/2015
Pay Scale: Rs.15830 – Rs.22150
Upper Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for ST candidates with respect to posts reserved for them. Upper age is relaxable by 10 years for PwD. Ex-Servicemen – as per norms.
Physical Standards (Minimum) for male candidates.
(i) Height – 155 cms
(ii) Weight – 45 kgs
(iii) Chest measurement – 75cms & 79cms on expansion.
(iv) Distant vision – 6/9 both eyes with or without glasses. After the age of 35 years one step reduction (both eyes one step reduction (both eyes with or without glasses). Should have normal color vision. Candidate should be of sound physique, free from any defect.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Interview. Written test will be objective type. Candidates who will qualify the written test will be called for Interview.
