Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) — Bokaro Steel Plant is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 110 vacancies in the post of OPERATOR CUM TECHNICIAN TRAINEE (S-3) in various discipline. OPERATOR CUM TECHNICIAN TRAINEE
Number of Vacancies: 110 Nos. (Gen—49; SC—12; ST—34; OBC—15). Out of total vacancies 20 reserved for PWD.

Discipline wise vacancies are as follows —
1. Metallurgy: 50 Nos.
2. Mechanical: 20 Nos.
3. Electrical: 20 Nos.
4. Civil: 05 Nos.
5. Chemical: 10 Nos.
6. Ceramics: 05 Nos.

 

Educational Qualification: Matriculation & Three years full time Diploma in Engineering in any one of the above mentioned disciplines.

 

Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height—155cms; Weight—45kgs; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)— 75cms/ 79cms
(ii) Female Candidates: Height—143cms; Weight—35kgs; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) — 70cms/ 75cms.
Eyesight (for both male & female): 6/9 both eyes with or without glasses.

 

Age Limit: Maximum 28yrs as on 01-01-2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Widow/Divorced women/legally separated women – 05yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.16800—24110/- per month

 

Candidates’ Selection: Eligible candidates will be required to appear in Written Examination. On the basis of their performance in the Written Examination they will be called for Interview.

Application Fee: Rs.250/- as Application and Processing fee (SC/ST candidates shall pay Rs.50/- only as Processing fee). Fee can be paid through bank transaction by means of Fee Payment Challan which can be downloaded from the SAIL’s website or can be paid online during submission of online application. Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration Slip with unique Registration Number will appear on the computer screen. candidates must print-out and shall retain the same for future correspondence. Candidates are not required to send any document to Bokaro Steel Plant at this stage.
