Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Durgapur is recruiting 267 Posts of Operator-cum Technician (Trainee), Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) and Medical Service Product (Trainee) for Durgapur Steel Plant. Candidates willing to apply for the vacancies may submit their application through Online mode from the official website of SAIL (See URL below). SAIL, DURGAPUR INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 267 POSTS OF OCT (TRAINEE), ACT (TRAINEE) AND MSP (TRAINEE). LAST DATE – 08/10/2014.
1. OPERATOR-CUM-TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE): 154 Posts.
Reservation: Out of 154 Posts, 36 posts are reserved for SC, 7 posts for ST, 37 Posts for OBC and 6 posts each for HH/OH.
Discipline wise vacancies are as follows—
(i) Mechanical: 72 Nos.
(ii) Electrical: 39 Nos.
(iii) Metallurgy: 16 Nos.
(iv) Civil: 5 Nos.
(v) Chemical: 11 Nos.
(vi) Electronics: 11 Nos.
Educational Qualification (For all above discipline): Class 10th Pass/Matriculation and 3 yrs regular Diploma in relevant trade.
Experience: NIL
Pay Scale: Rs16800-24110 /-PM with other allowances.
Consolidated Pay: 1st year Rs.10700/- and 2nd year Rs.12200/- during training period of two years.
2. ATTENDANT-CUM-TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE): 104 Posts.
Reservation: Out of 104 Posts, 23 posts are reserved for SC, 6 posts for ST, 22 Posts for OBC and 5 posts each for HH/OH.
Discipline wise are vacancies are as follows—
(i) Welder: 44 Nos.
(ii) Fitter: 33 Nos.
(iii) Electrician: 27 Nos.
Educational Qualification (For all above posts): 10th Pass/Matric and ITI (full time) in relevant trade.
Experience: NIL
Pay Scale: Rs 15830-22150/-PM with other allowances.
Consolidated Pay: 1st year Rs.10700/- and 2nd year Rs.12200/- during training period of two years.
3. MEDICAL SERVICE PROVIDER (TRAINEE): 09 Posts
Reservation (for Medical Service Provider): Out of 09 Posts, 2 posts are reserved for SC, 1 Post for OBC and 2 posts each for HH/OH.
Discipline wise are vacancies are as follows—
(i) Radiology: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc in Paramedical Technology (Radiology) OR 12th pass (Science) with 2 yrs Diploma (Full time) in same trade.
Experience: 1 year in Hospital/ Nursing Home.
(ii) Pharmacist: 06 Nos.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc in Pharmacy OR 12th pass (Science) with 2 yrs Diploma (Full time) in same trade.
Experience: 1year in Hospital/ Nursing Home.
(iii) Dietician: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc in Dietetics/Food & Nutrition/Chemical Nutrition (Full time) after 12th pass (Science)
Experience: 1year in Hospital/ Nursing Home.
Pay Scale (For all above discipline): Rs.16800-24110/- PM with other allowances.
Consolidated Pay: 1st year Rs.8600/- and 2nd year Rs.100s00/- during training period of two years.
Age limit (For all above posts): 18-28 yrs as on 01.08.2014. The upper age limit is relaxation for SC/ST-5yrs, OBC-3yrs and Ex-Serviceman/Others -as per govt. norms.
Mode of Selection:-
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Physical Standards Test and Interview. Centre for written test will be intimated in due course.
Physical Standards:-
For Male Candidates: (i) Height —155cms (ii) Weight— 45kgs (iii) Chest Measurement (Expanded) —79cms, (IV) Chest Measurement (Un-Expanded) —75cms, Eye— 6/9 both eyes and Hearing— Normal.
For Female Candidates: (i) Height —143cms (ii) Weight— 35kgs (iii) Chest Measurement (Expanded) —73cms, (IV) Chest Measurement (Un-Expanded) —70cms, Eye—6/9 both eyes and Hearing —Normal.
