SAIL — Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) is inviting online Application form from the eligible candidates for the posts of – Operator cum Technician (Trainee/ Boiler Operation), Attendant cum Technician (Trainee/ Cable Jointing), Medical Service Provider (Trainee), Radiology, Etc., in various discipline. Total vacancies — 214 Nos. Advt. No. DSP/Pers/Rectt/2013-14/DR. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —
1. Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee): 124 Nos.
— Mechanical: 56 Nos.
— Metallurgy: 10 Nos.
— Electrical: 37 Nos.
— Civil: 06 Nos.
— Chemical: 11 Nos.
— Electronics: 4 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation and 3 years full time Diploma in relevant discipline of Engineering (Metallurgy / Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Electronics / Chemical) from Govt. recognized Institute.
2. Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee): 61 Nos.
— Welder: 25 Nos.
— Fitter: 20 Nos.
— Electrician: 14 Nos.
— Plumber: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation and ITI (full time) in relevant trades (Fitter / Electrician / Welder / Plumbing) from Govt. recognized Institute.
3. Medical Service Provider (Trainee): 12 Nos.
— ECG: 03 Nos.
— EEG: 01 Nos.
— TMT: 01 Nos.
— OT: 02 Nos.
— Optimetry: 01 Nos.
— Physiotherapy: 01 Nos.
— Blood Transfusion: 02 Nos.
— Radiology: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Science) / Higher Secondary (Science) with full time Bachelor Degree in Paramedical Technology in relevant discipline (Cardio-Technology/ Neuro Technician. Cardio Technology/ OT Technician/ Optometry/ Perfusion Technology/ Radiology) OR with minimum 2 years full time Diploma in relevant discipline (EKG/ECG, Neuro-Technology/ Electro-nuero-physiology, EKG/TMT/ Operation Theatre/ Physiotherapy/ Perfusion Technology/ Radiology) from Govt. recognized Institute.
AND atleast 01 year post qualification experience in a Hospital or Nursing Home in relevant field.
4. Medical Service Provider (Trainee) Nursing: 08 Nos.
Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Science) / Higher Secondary (Science) with full time Bachelor Degree in Nursing or with minimum 3 years full time Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery from Govt. recognized Institute; with valid registration with Nursing council of India / State Nursing Council.
AND At least 1 year post qualification experience in a Hospital or Nursing home.
5. Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operation): 06 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation and Three years full time Diploma in Engineering from Govt. recognized Institute with either First Class or Second Class certificate of Boiler Competency.
6. Attendant-cum-Technician (Cable Jointing): 03 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with full time ITI (Electrical) from Govt. recognized Institute with cable jointing license from State Licensing Board for cables upto 33 KV or equivalent.
AND At least 2 years post qualification experience in cable jointing.
Required Physical Standards of the candidates —
For Male candidates: Height— 155cms; Weight—45Kgs, Chest (unexpanded/expanded)— 75/79cms.
For Female candidates: Height— 143cms, Weight—35Kgs, Chest (unexpanded/expanded)— 70/73cms.
Eye Sight (For both male and female candidates) —
- Distant Vision- 6/9 both eyes with or without glasses
- Near Vision – J1 or N6 both eyes. Power of glass should not exceed + 2.50 D.
- Colour vision should be normal.
- Binocular vision – Essential Operated and corrected squint will be acceptable.
Hearing: Normal. (Relaxable up to 30 dB in speech frequency)
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years for the post of Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operation) and Attendant cum Technician (Cable Jointing) AND Maximum 28 years for rest of the posts. Age will be counted as on 01/11/2013.
Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Eligible candidates will be required to appear in Written Test. On the basis of their performance in the Written Test they will be called for Interview. Information for Written test and Interview will be provided on the official website of SAIL in due course.
Application Fee —
Rs.150/- for Attendant-cum-Technician (Cable Jointing) and Rs.250/- for the rest of the posts.
SC/ST/PWD candidates are required to pay Rs.50/- only as processing fee (applicable to all posts)
Candidates must pay the Application Fee/ Processing fee through State Bank of India by means of Pay in Slip which will be generated during the process of Online Application form. Candidates may also opt ot pay the Application Fee through online system by using their Credit/ Debit card.
