Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) — IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur (West Bengal), is inviting online application for recruitment to the posts of “Operator cum Technician (Trainee)” and “Attendant cum Technician (Trainee)”. OPERATOR CUM TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE)
Number of Vacancies: 264 Nos. (Gen—133; SC—60; ST—13; OBC—58). Out of them 7 PWD and 26 Ex-Servicemen.

ATTENDANT CUM TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE)
Number of Vacancies: 286 Nos. (Gen—145; SC—65; ST—14; OBC—62). Out of them 8 PWD and 28 Ex-Servicemen.

Educational Qualification: Matriculation/ Madhyamik and full time ITI in Electronic Mechanic / Electrician/ Fitter / Instrument Mechanic/ Machinist / Turner /Turbine Attendant trades

Age Limit: Candidates must be minimum 18yrs and maximum 28yrs as on 01/10/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Physical Standards of the candidates —
For Male candidates: Height—155cm, Weight—45kg, Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—75cm/79cms.
For Female candidates: Height—143cms, Weight—35kg, Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—70cm/ 73cms.
Eyesight: 6/9 in distant vision with or without glasses. Candidates must have normal color vision.

Training Period: Candidates selected as Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) and Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) will be placed on training for a period of 2 Years. On successful completion of training period, they shall be regularised in S3 and S1 Grade respectively. After successful completion of Training, Candidates shall be placed under probation for 1 year.

Pay during training period: 
Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) — Rs.10700/- and Rs.12200/- for first year and second year respectively.
Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) — Rs.8600/- and Rs.10000/- for first year and second year respectively.

Application Fee: Rs.250 for the post of Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) and Rs.150/- for Attendant cum Technician (Trainee)
SC/ST candidates are required to pay only Rs.50/- as processing fee for any one  of the above posts. 
The fee is to be paid through any branches of State Bank of India by means of Pay in Slip which can be print-out from the sail’s website (See the live URL below)

After final submission of online Application form, i.e. after uploading scan image and signature, the system generated Registration Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out the Registration slip and must retain it safely for future use. There is no need the send any print-out to SAIL.
