Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), Raw Materials Division, Kolkata is recruiting 29 Operator cum Technician Trainee in the discipline of Survey, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Electronics & Instrumentation for its mines — Bolani Ores Mines, Barsua Iron Mine, Kiriburu Iron Ore Mine and Meghahatuburu Iron Ore Mine. Educational Qualification: Matriculation and 3 years of full time Diploma in Engineering in the discipline of — Mechanical, Civil, Electronics & Instrumentation, Mining (with Mines Survey Certificate of Competency from DGMS), Electrical (with Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency (HT)
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years as on 01/08/2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Medical Fitness —
Candidates should be of sound physique, free from any physical defect.
Medical standards stipulate minimum requirements of Weight: 45 kg (35 kg for females); Height: 155 cm (143 cm for females); Distant vision: 6/9 both eyes with or without glasses; Near vision: J1 or N6 both eyes; Power of glasses should not exceed ± 2.50; Colour vision: Normal; Hearing: Normal.
Selection of the candidates will be through written examination and Interview. Date, Time & Place of the Written Test and Interview will be intimated to eligible / shortlisted candidates through e-mail.
Written Test will be at following centres/ city — 1.Rourkela, 2. Bhubaneswar, 3. Ranchi 5.Kolkata, 4. Jamshedpur.
Emoluments: Selected candidates will be paid consolidated pay of Rs.10700/- per month during 1st year of training and Rs.12200/- per month during 2nd year of training plus plus other allowances as per norms.
On completion of training period, they shall be considered for regular employment in S-3 grade in the Scale of Pay of Rs.9160— Rs.13150/- per month (see the advt. for details)
