Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), Raw Materials Division, Kolkata is recruiting 64 Mining Foreman and Mining Mate for posting in its various mines listed below. 3. Bolani Ores Mines (BOM):

4. Barsua Iron Mine (BIM):
— Mining Foreman: 02 Nos.
5. Kalta Iron Mine (KIM):

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Mining Foreman: Matriculation and Diploma in Mining with Mining Foreman’s Certificate of Competency and shall have one year of post qualification experience in the capacity of Mining Foreman.
Mining Mate: Matriculation with Mining Mate’s Certificate of Competency with one year post qualification experience in the capacity of Mining Mate.
AGE LIMIT:
Candidates shall be minimum 18yrs and maximum 28yrs as on 01-02-2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
PAY SCALE:
Mining Foreman: Rs.9160— Rs.13150 plus other allowances as per norms.
Mining Mate: Rs.8630— Rs.12080 plus other allowances as per norms.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
Weight: 45 kg; Height: 155 cm; Distant vision: 6/9 both eyes with or without glasses; Near vision: J1 or N6 both eyes; Power of glasses should not exceed ± 2.50; Colour vision: Normal; Hearing: Normal.
Suitable relaxation in height and weight will be given to female candidates.
Candidates should be of sound physique, free from any physical defect.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview. Date, Time & Place
of the Written Test and Interview will be intimated to eligible / shortlisted candidates through e-mail and such information will be available in SAIL’s website.
The written test shall be tentatively held in the following cities — 1. Rourkela and 2. Jamshedpur

Application Fee: Rs.250/- for the post of Mining Foreman and Rs.150/- for the post of Mining Mate as Application Fee and Processing Fee for General and OBC candidates.
SC/ST candidates shall pay only Rs.50/- as processing fee.
Fee is to be paid by means of Pay in Slip (SBI CHallan) through any branches of State Bank of India (See pdf below). The Pay in Slip is to be downloaded from the website after filling in the required details.
After applying online, the candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details and retain a copy of the same.
