Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) – Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) is recruiting 432 Operator-cum-technician (Trainee), Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) and Operator-cum-Technician (Boiler Operation). 1. OPERATOR CUM TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE): 222 POSTS.

i. Mechanical: 62 Nos.
ii. Metallurgy: 42 Nos.
iii. Electrical: 45 Nos.
iv. Mechatronics: 20 Nos.
v. Chemical: 35 Nos.
vi. Instrumentation: 10 Nos.
vii. Civil: 08 Nos.

Qualification: Matriculation with 03 years full time Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline.
Age: 18—28yrs.

 

2. ATTENDANT CUM TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE): 190 POSTS.

i. Fitter: 80 Nos.
ii. Welder: 32 Nos.
iii. Electrician: 40 Nos.
iv. Electronics: 10 Nos.
v. Machinist: 20 Nos.
vi. Diesel Mechanic: 08 Nos.

Qualification: Matriculation with ITI (Full time) in the relevant trade
Age: 18—28yrs.

 

3. OPERATOR CUM TECHNICIAN (BOILER OPERATION): 20 POSTS.

i. Boiler Operation: 20 Nos.

Qualification: Matriculation with 03 years full time Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/Power Plant/ Production/ Instrumentation Engineering and with Certificate of proficiency as a Boiler Operation Engineer.
Age: 18—30yrs.

 

Upper age relaxation: The upper age limit indicated above is for candidates belonging to General Category. The upper age limit will be relaxable by 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST and PWD candidates. Age will be counted as on 01/10/2014.

 

Physical Standards:
Male Candidates: Heigth—155cms; Weight—45kgs; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—75/79 cms
Female Candidates: Height—143 cms; Weight—35kgs; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—70/73 cms.
Eyesight (for all): 6/12 with or without glass.
Candidates should be physically fit and free from color blindness.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Interview. Candidates short-listed on the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be required to appear in the Interview.
The date, Time & Place of Written Test and Interview will be intimated to eligible/short-listed candidates through e-mail / SMS

 

Application Fee:
1. For Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) & Operator-cum-Technician (S-3) (Boiler Operation): Rs.250/-
2. For the post of Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee): Rs.150/-
Bank charge of Rs.30/- shall be borne by the applicant. NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ST AND PWD CANDIDATES.
Fee can be deposited in a specially opened Power Jyoti Account No. 31955226331 at State Bank of India, RSP Campus Branch, Rourkela, on behalf of SAIL/RSP, by means of fee payment challan which can be downloaded from the SAIL’s website. (See PDF below)
