Who is Eligible for SAIL RSP Apprentice Recruitment 2026?
Candidates meeting the required educational qualification, age limit and other conditions are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification
- Trade Apprentices: ITI passed out in the respective trade from a Govt. recognized institute.
- Graduate/Technician Apprentices: Degree/Diploma in the respective disciplines of Engineering (or other specified disciplines such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, Nursing, Pharmacy, etc.) from a Govt. recognized Institute/University.
Other Eligibility Conditions
- Only candidates who completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are eligible.
- Only candidates who passed the qualifying examination in the last five years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026) are eligible.
- Candidates whose results are not declared/available as on the last date of application are NOT eligible.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under any establishment, or have job experience of one year or more, are NOT eligible.
Age Limit (As on 31.08.2026)
Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 28 years of age. Reservation and applicable age relaxation shall be as per the guidelines of the Government of Odisha.

What is the Selection Process for SAIL RSP Apprentice Recruitment 2026?
Selection of candidates will be carried out by shortlisting on the basis of academic merit through a walk-in process, depending upon the vacancies available in various categories and disciplines. A weightage of 30% is assigned to marks secured in Class-X examination and 70% weightage to marks secured in the Degree/Diploma/ITI examination, as applicable.
