Steel Authority of India (SAIL)— Salem Steel Plant is recruiting 53 candidates as “Attendant cum Technician Trainee”. Employment Notice No. 1/2013. ATTENDANT CUM TECHNICIAN (TRAINEE) (S-1)
Number of Vacancies: 53 Nos. (Gen—29; SC—10; OBC—14; Ex-Servicemen—7; PWD—1)

Educational Qualification: Matriculation with full time ITI in relevant trades, i.e. Fitter/ Electrician/ Machinist.
Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 28yrs as on 01-10-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
Training Period: Candidates selected for the post of Attendant cum Technician (Trainee) will be placed on training for the initial period of two years. On successful completion of two year’s training period they shall be regularized in S-1 Grade.
Consolidated pay during training period is Rs.8600/- and Rs.10000/- for first year and second year respectively. After completion of training period, the pay scale will be Rs.8630—12080 (S-1)

Application Fee: For post of Attendant cum Technician Trainee, candidates belonging to General and OBC category to possess Pay in Slip (SBI Challan) for Rs.150/– as application and processing fee. SC/ST/PwD/departmental candidates to possess Pay in Slip of Rs. 50/- only as processing fee. The Pay in Slip (SBI Challan) is to be downloaded from the website after filling in the required details.
During submission of Online Application form candidates will require to provide scan copy of candidate’s passport size photograph and signature.
After final submission of Online Application form, candidates must print-out the system generated Registration Slip and must retain it safely for later use. Do not send any print-out/ hard copy of application to SAIL.

Starting date of downloading Admit card for Written Examination: 10/12/2013
