INDIAN NAVY INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 2700 SAILORS FOR ARTIFICER APPRENTICE (AA) AND SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUITS (SSR) – AUGUST 2020 BATCH. LAST DATE — 18/11/2019
1. SAILORS FOR ARTIFICER APPRENTICE
No. of Vacancies: 500 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Qualified in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths and Physics and at least one of these subjects:- Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science from recognised Boards.
Age Limit: Should be born between 01/08/2000 to 31/07/2003.
Pay Scale: Rs.21700 — Rs.69100
2. SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUITS
No. of Vacancies: 2200 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths and Physics and atleast one of these subjects:- Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science from recognised Boards.
Age Limit: Should be born between 01/08/2000 to 31/07/2003.
Pay Scale: Rs.21700 — Rs.69100
NOTE: Only Unmarried Male candidates are eligible to apply.
Proficiency in sports, swimming and extra-curricular activities is desirable for the posts.
The training for the course will commence in August 2020, with 09 weeks for Artificer Apprentice and 22 weeks for Senior Secondary Recruits Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments.
During the initial training period, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be paid to the candidates.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Minimum height 157 cms; Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum chest expansion of 5 cms.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Computer Based Examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO INDIAN NAVY AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
