INDIAN NAVY INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 400 SAILORS (CHEF/ STEWARD/ HYGIENIST) FOR MATRIC RECRUIT (MR)- OCTOBER 2020 BATCH FOR COURSE COMMENCING OCTOBER 2020. LAST DATE — 28/11/2019
SAILOR (CHEF/ STEWARD/ HYGIENIST)
No. of Vacancies: 400 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Must have passed Matriculation Examination from recognised Boards of School Education.
Desirable: Proficiency in sports, swimming and extra-curricular activities is desirable.
Age Limit: Born between 01/10/2000 to 30/09/2003.
Pay Scale: Rs.21700 — Rs.69100
Only Unmarried Male candidates are eligible to apply.
The training for the course will commence in October 2020, with 15 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments. During the initial training period, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be admissible to the candidates.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Minimum height 157 cms; Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum chest expansion of 5 cms.
Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Computer Based Examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination. The Online Examination is scheduled during February 2020.

NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ ST CANDIDATES.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Indian Navy — www.joinindiannavy.gov.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 23/11/2019 to 28/11/2019.
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO INDIAN NAVY AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
