The vacancies are for Direct Entry Petty Officer, Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) and Matric Recruits (MR) against Sports Quota Entry for 02/2019 Batch. SAILORS
1. DIRECT ENTRY PETTY OFFICER
Educational Qualification: 10+2 qualified in any stream or Equivalent examination.
Sports Qualification:
i) Team Games:- Should have participated at International/ National/ State level at Junior/ Senior level or represented a University in the Inter University tournament.
ii) Individual Events:- Should have attained a minimum of 6th position in Nationals (seniors) or 3rd position in National (Juniors) or 3rd position in the Inter University meets.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 years and maximum 22 years.
Pay Scale: Rs.21,700- Rs.43,100/-
2. SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUIT (SSR)
Educational Qualification: 10+2 qualified in any stream or equivalent examination.
Sports Qualification: Should have participated at International/ National/ State level or represented a University in the Inter University tournament.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 years and maximum 21 years.
Pay Scale: Rs.21,700- Rs.43,100/-
3. MATRIC RECRUITS (MR)
Educational Qualification: 10th/ equivalent qualified.
Sports Qualification: Should have participated at International/ National/ State level tournament
Age Limit: Minimum 17 years and maximum 21 years.
Pay Scale: Rs.21,700- Rs.43,100/-
Name of the Sports Disciplines: Outstanding sportsmen who have participated at International/ Junior or Senior National Championship/ Senior State Championship/ All India Inter University Championship in Athletics, Aquatics, Basket-ball, Boxing, Cricket, Football, Gymnastics, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Squash, ,Best Physique, Fencing, Golf, Tennis, Kayaking & Canoeing, Rowing, Shooting, Sailing & Wind Surfing.
Note: Only Unmarried Male candidates are eligible to apply. The Age of candidates will be calculated as on the date of commencement of course.
The vacancies are against Sports Quota Entry for 02/2019 Batch. The selected candidates will be enrolled as Logistics (Chef) or Logistics (Stewards) and Hygienist.
The candidates will undergo initial training for the course which will be conducted at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments. During the initial training period, a Stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be paid to the candidates.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — Minimum 157 cms. Weight and Chest should be proportionate. Minimum Chest expansion of 5 cms.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Trials and Medical Examination. The Trials will be conducted at designated Naval Centers and candidates will undergo Medical Examination at INS Hamla, Mumbai.

Candidates must also enclose 02 (size 22 x 10 cms) Self-Addressed envelope with the Application Form affixed with postage stamp of Rs.10/- on one envelope.
The envelope containing the print-out/enclosures should be superscribed on top with — “NAME OF ENTRY ____- 02/2019, SPORTS DISCIPLINE ____ & ACHIEVEMENT _____”. The Envelopes should be of brown colour.
