1. SAILORS FOR MATRIC RECRUIT (MR)
No. of Vacancies: 400 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Passed Matriculation Examination from recognised Boards of School Education.
Desirable: Proficiency in sports, swimming and extra-curricular activities is desirable.
Age Limit: Born between 01/10/1998 to 30/09/2002.
Pay Scale: Rs.21,700- 69,100/-
2. SAILORS FOR ARTIFICER APPRENTICE (AA)
No. of Vacancies: 500 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Passed 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects- Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science from recognised Boards of School Education.
Desirable: Proficiency in sports, swimming and extra-curricular activities is desirable.
Age Limit: Born between 01/08/1999 to 31/07/2002.
Pay Scale: Rs.21,700- 69,100/-
3. SAILORS FOR SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUIT (SSR)
No. of Vacancies: 2500 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Passed 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects- Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science from recognised Boards of School Education.
Desirable: Proficiency in sports, swimming and extra-curricular activities is desirable.
Age Limit: Born between 01/08/1998 to 31/07/2002.
Pay Scale: Rs.21,700- 69,100/-
Only unmarried Male candidates are eligible to apply.
Training:
i) For Matric Recruit (MR) – Oct 2019 batch: The training for the course will commence in October 2019, with 15 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments.
ii) For Artificer Apprentice (AA) – Aug 2019 batch: The training for the course will commence in August 2019, with 09 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments.
iii) For Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) – Aug 2019 batch: The training for the course will commence in August 2019, with 22 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments.
During the initial training period, a stipend of Rs.14,600/- per month will be paid to the candidates.
Physical Standards: Candidates should meet the prescribed physical standards. For details regarding prescribed Physical Standard, please see the Official Advt (Link given below).
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Computer Based Examination, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examination. The Computer Based Online Examination is scheduled to held in the month of February, 2019.

NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
