SBI Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the examination, candidates must be aware of the State Bank of India eligibility criteria specified by the authorities in terms of their age (as on 31.12.2025), qualifications, experience, etc.
Educational Qualification
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Candidates with Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, or Cost Accountant qualifications are also eligible.
Age Limit
21 to 30 years (as on 31.12.2025), i.e., candidates must have been born not later than 31.12.2004 and not earlier than 01.01.1996 (both days inclusive).
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD (Gen/EWS): 10 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years

Experience – Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience (as on 31.12.2025) as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank listed in the Second Schedule of Reserve Bank of India.
For Private Bank Experience: Candidates must be drawing minimum annual gross salary of Rs. 9.50 lacs for each year with documentary evidence.
Local Language Proficiency – Candidates must be proficient (reading, writing, and understanding) in the specified local language of the Circle they are applying for. A language proficiency test will be conducted before joining for provisionally selected candidates.
