Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is inviting Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates to apply for the post of Scientific Officer through its academic programs OCES-2020 (Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates & Science Postgraduates) and DGFS-2020 (DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme).
The candidates will undergo training programme under One year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates for the year 2020-2021 (OCES-2020) and Two year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates for the years 2020-2022 (DGFS-2020).
The One-Year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates & Science Postgraduates will be starting in August, 2020 and will be conducted at BARC Training Schools situated at:- BARC, Mumbai; IGCAR, Kalpakkam; NFC, Hyderabad; RRCAT, Indore; AMD, Hyderabad.
The Two-Year DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme for Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates for joining M.Tech./ M.Chem.Engg. in select specializations will be starting in July 2020 at: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)- Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Roorkee and BHU-Varanasi; National Institute of Technology (NIT)- Rourkela; Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT)- Mumbai.
On successful completion of the OCES or DGFS programs, Trainee Scientific Officers (TSOs) and DGFS Fellows will be appointed as Scientific Officers in one of the DAE units or Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB).

Educational Qualification: B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Sc.(Engineering)/ 05-year Integrated M.Tech./ M.Sc. in relevant discipline. For more details please see the Official Advt.
Age Limit: Maximum 26 years as on 01/08/2020.
Basic Pay: Rs.56100 per month.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Online Screening Test, GATE-2019 or GATE-2020 Score and Selection Interview. The Online Screening Test for OCES/ DGFS-2020 will be held from 13th – 19th March, 2020. Selection Interviews will be from 14th May – 13th June, 2020.
