Recruitment of 115 Boys/Girls as Scientist- B in Bureau of Indian Standards.

Central Govt. Enterprise—Bureau of Indian Standards is recruiting 115 persons for the post of “Scientists- B” in the following divisions—Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Metallurgy, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Food, Microbiology and Bio-Chemistry. Required qualifications were given below—

1. Scientist-B: 115 Nos. (Gen-57; OBC-32; SC-17; ST-9).
Vacant post according to division wise were as follows—
(I). Mechanical/ Metallurgy: 61 Nos.
(II). Civil: 22 Nos.
(III). Microbiology/ Bio-Chemistry: 17 Nos.
(IV). Electrical/ Electronics: 12 Nos.
(V). Computer Science/ Computer Engineering: 3 Nos.

Required Qualification: Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electrical, Electronics, Food or Computer Engineering’s Degree Course pass (B.E/ B.Tech) candidates with total marks of 60% (50% for SC/ST) may apply for respective post.
Master Degree course pass candidates in Natural Science with total marks of 60% (50% for SC/ST) may apply for the division of Food/ Bio-Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Candidates appearing final this year may also apply but they will have to provide pass Marksheet during Interview.

Required Age: For all the above posts, age should be between 21yrs to 27yrs as on 9-9-2011. Age relaxation—SC/ST-5yrs, OBC-3yrs, PH-10yrs.

Pay Scale: Rs.15600 to Rs.39100 and Grade pay- Rs.5400.

First two years will be on probation and job posting may be take place anywhere in India.

Selection Steps: Selections of candidates will be made through Written Test and will hold at Guwahati and Kolkata. Question will be Objective Multiple Choice Types on two parts—(I). Technical related and (II). Aptitude/Analytical Reasoning and English.
Selected candidates from written test will be called for Interview and finally there will be medical check-up.

Before applying online, candidates will require to deposit the Exam fee of Rs.750 through any branch of Syndicate Bank by NEFT (National Electronics Funds Transfer). Deposition of fee should be made in favour of—Name of the Beneficiary Bank: Syndicate Bank, Name of the Beneficiary Bank Branch and Place: Bureau of Indian Standards Branch, Manak Bhawan, New Delhi-110 002, IFSC Code of the Beneficiary Bank: SYNB0009084, Account numbers of the Beneficiary to which the funds are to be remitted: CA No. 90841010000094.
Candidates will also require to provide scan copy of colour pass port size photo and scan copy of Signature. More details on filling up the form can be found on the above website.

Candidates should use their own e-mail id during registration. Call letter will be e-mailed to the candidates’ e-mail id. No call letters will be sending through by post.

Finally after successful registration, make print-out of the system generated application along with password and unique registration number on the computer screen. There is no need to send any documents through post. Original fee receipts and documents will have to produce during written test.
