Scouts & Guides Quota Jobs in Southern Railway for 2019-2020

Southern Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell is inviting application for 14 posts of Level- 2 and Level- 1 posts. The vacancies are against Scouts and Guides Quota for the year 2019-2020. SOUTHERN RAILWAY, RAILWAY RECRUITMENT CELL IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 14 LEVEL- 2 AND LEVEL- 1 POSTS. LAST DATE — 18/11/2019 (03/12/2019)

 

1. LEVEL- 2 – NON-TECHNICAL POPULAR CATEGORIES (NIPC)/ TECHNICIAN CATEGORIES

No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.

Educational Qualification:
i) For Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC):- Passed Matriculation or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.

Note: Minimum percentage of 50% marks in aggregate is not applicable to SC/ ST candidates and to those candidates who possess qualification higher than matriculation such as HSC/ Intermediate/ Graduation/ Post Graduation.
OR
ii) For Technician Categories:- Act Apprenticeship/ ITI approved by SCVT/ NCVT.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/01/2020.

 

2. LEVEL- 1

No. of Vacancies: 12 Nos. (Chennai- 02, Tiruchchirappalli-02, Madurai-02, Palakkad-02, Thiruvananthapuram-02, Salem-02)

Educational Qualification: Minimum 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 33 years as on 01/01/2020.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

SCOUTS AND GUIDES QUALIFICATION:
i) A President’s Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
ii) Should have been an active member of a Scouts Organization for the last 05 years.
iii) Should have attended two events at National Level or All Indian Railways’ Level and two events at State Level.

The vacancies are against Scouts and Guides Quota for the year 2019-2020.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test and Marks on Certificates.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen/ PWD/ Female/ Transgender/ Minorities/ Economically Backward Class). Fee can be paid through Demand Draft/ Indian Postal Order (IPO) drawn in favour of Chairman/ RRC/ Chennai, payable at Chennai.
