West Bengal State Council of Science and Technology requires Senior & Junior Research Fellow. Last Dt. 09/09/2013

West Bengal State Council of Science and Technology, Kolkata, is recruiting “Senior Research Fellow (SRF)” and “Junior Research Fellow (JRF)” on contractual basis for ‘Development of Spatial Decision Support System for Watershed based micro level planning using Geoinformatics for Drought prone areas of West Bengal’ project. Interested candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Qualification norms and brief details is given below —

1. Senior Research Fellow (SRF): 1 Nos.
Qualification: Master’s degree in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Geography/ RS & GIS/ Environmental Science/ Soil Science/ Agriculture/ Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent with 60% marks.
AND at least two years’ working experience of software development/ customization of GIS software in the relevant field.
Remuneration: Rs.18,700/- per month

2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 2 Nos.
Qualification: Master’s degree in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Geography/ RS & GIS/ Environmental Science/ Soil Science/ Agriculture/ Bachelors degree in Civil, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology or equivalent with 60% marks
AND must have studied Geoinformatics or equivalent as a subject at UG level or above.
Remuneration: Rs.16,4000/- per month

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on Last Date of Application.

Selection of the candidates will be through Interview only. However, if the applied candidates are large in numbers, then Written/ Practical test may be conducted.
