56TH SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (TECH) MEN (APR 2021) AND 27TH SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (TECH) WOMEN COURSE (APR 2021) INCLUDING WIDOWS OF DEFENCE PERSONNEL FOR TECH AND NON TECH (NON-UPSC)
No. of Vacancies: 191 Nos. ( SSC (Tech) Men- 175, SSCW (Tech) Women- 14, Widows of Defence Personnel- 02)
The vacancies are in the following Engineering Streams:
Civil, Architecture, Building Construction Technology, Mechanical, Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics, Computer Sc & Engg/ Computer Technology/ Information Tech/ M.Sc Computer Sc, Electronics & Telecom/ Telecommunication/ Electronics & Comn/ Satellite Communication, Electronics, Micro Electronics & Microwave, Aeronautical, Avionics, Aerospace, Electronics & Instrumentation, Automobile Engg, Instrumentation, Textile and Transportation Engineering. Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification for Widows of Defence Personnel who Died in Harness:
i) SSCW (Non Tech) (Non UPSC):- Graduation in any Discipline.
ii) SSCW (Tech):- B.E./ B.Tech in any Engineering stream.
Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 27 years (maximum of 35 years for Widows of Defence Personnel who Died in Harness) as on 01/04/2021.
Stipend: Rs.56100 per month
Only unmarried Male, unmarried Female and Widows of Defence Personnel who died in harness are eligible to apply.
The course will commence in April 2021 at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The training will be for a period of 49 weeks.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through SSB Interview. Only shortlisted eligible candidates will be interviewed at one of the Selection Centres namely Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (Punjab).

Note:- Widows of Defence Personnel who died in harness are required to apply through Offline mode. The duly filled in application in the prescribed format along with required documents should be sent to Rtg ‘A’ (WE) section, Dte Gen of Rtg, AG’s Branch, Integrated HQ, Ministry of Defence (Army), West Block-III, R K Puram, New Delhi- 110066, on or before 15/12/2020. Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO INDIAN ARMY AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
