Sikkim Police – Recruitment of 572 Constable (General Duty/ Driver/ Technical) and Follower. Last Dt. 20/03/2014

Sikkim Police is recruiting 572 Constable (GD), Drivers, Follower and Constable (Technical) in Armed Battalions and Communication Branch. Employment Notice No.53/CO/3rd IRB/2014. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Educational qualification norms and brief details are given below —

CONSTABLE (GENERAL DUTY)
Number of Vacancies: 450 Nos.
Qualification: Class 10 pass in case of Open candidates and Class VIII pass in case of HG (Home Guards) candidates who are enrolled before 4.9.2012.
Age: 18yrs to 22yrs as on 01/03/2014.

2. CONSTABLE (DRIVER)
Number of Vacancies: 85 Nos.
Qualification: Class 10 pass in case of Open candidates and Class VIII pass in case of HG (Home Guards) candidates who are enrolled before 4.9.2012.
Candidates shall possess valid Driving License for Light/ Medium & Heavy Vehicles [TRANSPORT  (T) LICENCE]
Age: 20yrs to 25yrs as on 01/03/2014

3. CONSTABLE (TECHNICAL)
Number of Vacancies: 30 Nos.
Qualification: Minimum Class XII pass  in PCM
Age: 18yrs to 22yrs as on 01/03/2014

4. FOLLOWER 
Number of Vacancies: 7 Nos.
Qualification: Minimum Class VI passed.
Age: 18yrs to 22yrs as on 01/03/2014

Physical Requirement (For all posts):
Male candidates: Height— 5.3ft; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)— 32/34cms; Weight— 50kgs (minimum)
Female Candidates: Height— 5ft; Weight— 45kgs (minimum); Chest—Not applicable

Candidates’ Selection: The candidates will be selected through –
(a) Physical Measurement,
(b) Physical Efficiency/Endurance Test (PET),
(c) Written Examination
(d) Skill Test (For Drivers and Followers) &
(e) Viva-voce.

Physical Measurement/test will begin from 2nd April,2014 to 11th April,2014 at various centres. Candidates who will qualify the physical test will be called for Written test. For detailed information, see the PDF file given below.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format only. The Application form can be obtained from the office of the Commandant/3rd IRBn, PHQ, Gangtok and the Office of District SsP (North/South/West) on working days till 20th March, 2014 on production of Bank (SBS) Receipt for Rs. 70/- under revenue head 0055-Police-800 other receipts.
