SUB-INSPECTOR (SIKKIM POLICE)
No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01, ST-01, OBC- 04, Primitive Tribe-01, Bhutia/Lepcha-02)
Educational Qualification: Degree from a recognized University.
Other Qualifications:
a) Should be conversant with the customs and usages of Sikkim.
b) Should have knowledge of any of the State Languages, viz. Nepali, Sikkimese, Bhutia, Lepcha or Limbooo.
c) Should have valid local Employment Card.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-25 years as on 28/02/2018. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Pay Scale: Rs 9300- Rs.34800 plus Grade Pay of Rs 3800/-
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 5.3 ft; Chest (unexpanded) — 32 cm; Chest (expanded) — 34 cm; Weight — 50 kgs
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 5ft; Weight — 45 kgs
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Preliminary Examinations, Physical Endurance-cum-Physical Efficiency Test and Main Written Examination.
