Soban Singh Jeena University SSJU Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

The essential qualifications for all teaching posts shall be as per the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges, 2018 and its subsequent amendments, read with norms prescribed by statutory councils such as NCTE, BCI, etc. wherever applicable.

For Professor:

• Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience, of which at least 4 years shall be at the level of Associate Professor with AGP of ₹9500 or Academic Level 12.
• Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals and total research score of 100 as per UGC norms.

For Associate Professor:

• Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/industrial experience, of which at least 3 years shall be at the level of Assistant Professor with AGP of ₹8000 or Academic Level 10.
• Minimum 5 research publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals and total research score of 75 as per UGC norms.

For Assistant Professor:

• Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a point scale system.
• NET/SLET/SET shall be the minimum eligibility condition.
• Candidates with Ph.D. degree in compliance with UGC Regulations 2009 (with course work) are exempted from NET.

For Assistant Librarian:

• Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science with 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
• NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. in compliance with UGC Regulations.

Additional Conditions:

• Ph.D. degree from foreign universities must be accompanied by Equivalence Certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
• All qualifications and experience shall be determined as on 2nd March 2026.
• Candidates with pending criminal cases must submit a self-declaration affidavit.
