Indian Army is recruiting few hundred Unmarried Males as Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper, Soldier Technical, Soldier Technician (Aviation) and Soldier Nursing Assistant. Candidates can enlist their name by joining the Direct Rally which will be held in West Bengal and Orissa.
Name of the Post and required qualification along with other short details were given below:
1. Name of Post: Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper
Qualification: Graduate or Post Graduate Pass candidates who have studied English and Math/ Accountancy/ Book Keeping at class 10 or class 12 and have secured minimum 40% marks in each of the subject. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary, in any stream, with 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject were also eligible to apply (along with subject mentioned above).
2. Name of Post: Soldier Technical
Qualification: Higher Secondary Pass candidates in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subject with minimum pass mark in each subject were eligible for the post.
3. Name of Post: Soldier Technician (Aviation)
(Note: This post is only available for the candidates joining Recruitment Rally in West Bengal only)
Qualification: Candidates with 3 years Diploma Course in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Science/ Automobiles Engineering from a recognized institute can apply. Higher Secondary pass candidates in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects and with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in each subject can also apply for the post.
4.Name of Post: Soldier Nursing Assistant
Qualification: Candidates with B.Sc Degree course in Botany/ Zoology/ Bio-Science with English as one of the pass subjects are eligible for the post. Candidates should have read this same subject in their 12th-Class.
Age limits: 17 ½ to 23 years as on 6.05.2011 (for resident of Orissa) and 2.06.2011 (for resident of West Bengal)
Physical Standard:
Height: 162 cm (for the post of Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper) and 169 cms (for all other posts mentioned above). Weight: 50 kg (for ST candidates- height is 162 cm and weight Is 48 kg). Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): cm/82 cms for all above posts.
Relaxation as per rule will be given to the sons of Serving Soldier/ Ex-Servicemen/ War widows.
Bonus Marks: 20 Bonus Marks to the sons of Serving Soldier/ Ex-Servicemen/ War widows, 20 Bonus marks will be given to Sportsmen, 15 Bonus marks for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders and 15 Bonus marks will be given to (on only for the post of Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper ) holder of O+ level computer certificate holders.

Recruitment Rally: The Direct Recruitment Rally for the resident of 30 districts of Orissa will be held at Bose Play Ground, Cuttack, Orissa. The Rally will begin from dated 10th May 2011.
Recruitment Rally in West Bengal: The direct joining in Recruitment Rally for the resident of all districts of West Bengal will be held at Vidyasagar Stadium, Barasat, North 24 Parganas. The Rally will begin from dated: 4th June 2011.
Candidates will have to produce all documents in Original as well as in Attested photo copies.
